Even though that Valis collection he has listed on eBay is something I'd really want, I wouldn't buy it just because it's him listing it and I don't want to support him in any way. Shadow Hearts: Covenant is a game I've wanted to add to my physical PS2 collection for a while now, but I've been holding off because of the price. Seeing him add a copy to his stack of games at the convention makes it understandable why the price remains so high, it's because douchebags like him are buying them up so they can charge more to the people who actually want to own them.

I know that last vendor personally. He said Chase was a real that bag and he was rude to him and his gf. Chase wanted to pretty much clear out his mario and pokemon and other high dollar games. Chase got mad when he didn't let him take all the titles and give him a good deal and was extremely salty when he didn't win the coin flip twice.

Just when I thought she couldn't go lower than taking a shaver from the donation bin at a Church sale, she also grabbed a LIFE ALERT SYSTEM from one for 2 USD and flipped it. I honestly don't think this woman has any morals and seems far worse than these game resellers. But it doesn't stop there! She ALSO buys games and consoles and flips them and is from my understanding friends with all the other resellers out there such as scumbag Philly Flipper. I would love it you could rip into her. Amazon charges so much more than what you'll find on Ebay. They're also the richest corporation in the world basically. The resellers could sell directly but nope, just send off to bezos and jack up the prices for everyone.

One of the scummiest things I’ve seen is when phoenix got into a convention early and bought up all the Game Boy systems. His idiotic “job” is just the ruination of an entire crowd of people’s day. Given special treatment just so he could be a dickhole to everyone because he refuses find a legitimate line of work.

Honest question, how is this any different than what your local game stores do? They lowball the hell out of people who bring games in, and gladly turn around and charge market or above market prices to their customers. I've heard you love on Gamers Alley before, and they are one of the most notorious for doing this in the greater Charlotte area.
Gamers Alley typically offers a half of price charting value for store credit and 40% for cash. Which I think is pretty fair for a local shop. You’re pretty much always guaranteed to have a convenient spot to take things. Retailers are different than Resellers in quite a few ways. I’ve done a video comparing the two in the past but the big difference is a local game store provides stock to their community whereas resellers in most cases take from the community and send elsewhere online.

I remember for the one day i didn't know how scummy resalers were i watched a pheonix resale video where he wasn't allowed to record for one pawn shop and when he tried to pull a fast one on the clerk the guy shut him down. Pheonix then went on to bitch about it in his car, calling the place creepy and harping on about how much he helps small businesses.
Because if he couldn’t get money from the game, he had to get money from viewers
I hope that vendors will just say no to the 'wiggle room / can I low ball you' behavior, especially at conferences

To correct you it has not been five years its been since 96ish (first yardsale season) when ebay started and the reselling culture started. It existed way back when. In the late 90s and early 00s i remeber people buying carts full of stuff when stores closed down for ebay. Now its just oversaturated with way too many people involved in resale.

I totally agree about the fun of getting together about games. We used to have two local game stores. One was sterile, pretty and overpriced. The other was crazy, messy and just fun. Used to go in and just talk to the employees for hours. Haggle over game trades etc. Just fun. They got bought out by the other store. So now your choices are overpriced sterile store or GameStop. I go to GameStop weekly.

Sad thing is is back in 2020 I used to watch a lot of these resellers then think I could do the same thing on a meager budget to try to double my income but then found out the hard truth that they don't show you on the videos that it takes more time and effort in space to store the stuff then it is to get the money so I quit after 3 years
It's certainly a big operation if you're trying to make 6 figures off of it. And a lot of patience. Watching reseller videos is about the same as watching a fishing video. All you see is catch after catch but then you get out on the lake and it takes all day to get 3 or 4 bites let alone catches.
I unsubscribed from chase few years back. There was a video where they were hitting Walmart for the clearance deals and I thought he walked weird.

Yeah that CPAP thing really hits hard with me because I not only use one but my Dad uses one too and about 1.5 yrs ago, he was in the nursing home for some rehabilitation and his old machine got dropped on the floor and stopped working so he needed a new one. This was back when there was a shortage and new ones were on backorder so he had to actually do without one for a few months and had to use oxygen at night to help him breathe better. I know that the video showing this Chase dude with that machine was before my Dad needed one but I'm sure there were people out there that needed one when he was trying to flip one for a profit. Have you ever watched one of these youtube resellers whatnot streams? People pay up huge just to say they bought something from Rick or Chase or whoever, its insane. Its almost like a cult.

10% off is reasonable for Gamecube. You're right and the vendors knew it too but still they cut the deals to these monkeys.
There is another reseller that I’ve watched although he hasn’t done any videos in 11 months. He seems like a nice dude, but he said something about those CPAP machines. It is illegal to sell them and if you do try to sell one on eBay it will be taken down.
The main reason for this is that with it being a medical device which is regulated so someone cannot buy one because of how it needs to be cleaned properly or something like that. Not to mention that you can use it so many times before it cannot be used or at least that’s how I’m lead to believe. The only way you can do something is to trade it in to a reputable company and if it isn’t over a certain number of uses and they will pay you for it.
What you showed about Chase makes me wonder if he did sell it to an unsuspecting individual because of how he talked about how much he’s going to get. He didn’t say anything about what I just mentioned which sounds super sketchy to me.
I had a few people reach out and tell me the same thing. I didn’t realize it was regulated like that. That’s kind of wild that Chase even showed that in his video.
To be honest if Osborn2Thrift hadn’t said anything about it, I wouldn’t have known about the CPAP machines. Not that’s want to even get one unless I need it and just get it brand new.
I'm probably in the Minority but I think WhatNot has been nothing but negative in so many ways. Alot of the bigger TH-camr's who used to be Resellers use WhatNot like it's toilet paper. I commented a few weeks ago on a video telling someone an item they picked up was only worth $10 at best and the sell thru rate was only 10%. Their response "I'll get atleast $20 on my WhatNot"

Could you make a video about how he's changing his $10 Business series into a cash grab? He got a lot of hate for it in the CATRP crew channel. The series was made to show how the average person could start from the ground up, now they're turning it into a money grab where people can donate to "reset" their vault. It pissed me off so much
Also they only changed the series because they were "losing too much money" so instead of being authentic and educational they asked themselves "how do we make as much money as we can". I recommend you go back a year ago to Week 1 of the challenge to learn why they're making it, and then go to CATRP crew's last two videos on it. You'll be disgusted

As a Nintendo fan, I think all of the vulgar stuff from Xbox and Playstation is fucking hilarious because imagine these resellers faces on the characters in a game called game of the year 420 Blaze it. I think it's very unfair to people to find cool things in the wild like the rare Mega Man games for NES and Super NES and then flip it for double possibly triple the market value of the game. Hell, at 1:12, I could have paid market value for the seat pad machine for my grandmother who has COPD and breathing issues. Also at 4:39, my friends wife who is viatemese who is causal when it comes to gaming but she has some decent knowledge of the art I requested her to draw mainly Nintendo, Sega, Namco, and Capcom characters and she actually did an excellent job on drawing those pictures. Had a little help from my friend but overall she did a good job and she is a casual gamer girl herself.

@@steviefreakinc play me a people sold on FBM here in Australia. It's unbelievable they try to sell them for 3/4 of new price (and get it) the machines r over 6 years old with 2500hrs on them. They sell it on marketplace because when they bought the new machine, the dealer offered them nearly nothing to trade in.

It started with Cartridge games having those cardboard boxes which most people did throw away. So it makes sense for an old game to be more expensive CIB. But anything with a plastic case shouldn’t be astronomically more expensive but that followed the same path as the cardboard boxed games.
I have never resold an item for more than I paid for it. Yes, there are some items i will sell in the near future that I will profit from. At the very least, I'm not taking advantage of elderly people and ripping off the youngens to achieve my profit....
