Simplified application without losing its form or structure is so great to see. To many systems lose their form & structure when applied. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I guess it depends what you are training for, if for the ring /mat competition most definitely or even for general health. but Sifu Hayes is showing what can be applied from Mantis for street situations, which hopefully will only be seconds. He has decades of experience working and training door security , so I am sure he knows what works . I don't think a lot of what he is showing would be allowed in competition and I doubt you need a lot of cardio fitness to apply these techniques in a real street situation but you will need to have the correct structure , power and conditioning.
@@blissfelix My comment was sort of rude, but I thought Sifu sounded a bit winded. Second, decent cardio is like a stance. At a key moment in the street, do you want to be ready or do you want to be back on your heels and awkward?

@JonKino828: I thought I was the only one that sees that BS! That guy is getting his rocks off hitting that dude and many people look at that and say "Wow! he is awesome!". No he is not. He is beating up on a dude that does not want to appear to not be tough, thinking taking shots and abuse like that is making or proving him tough. Good observation!
Great post more vids of that then , otherwise it will be continued to said . Don’t me wrong , Chow Gar is an amazing style and you have a great knowledge , but let’s is it in action
Great demonstration. Sifu Steve Hayes really knows his stuff

Good video.Sifu Hayes definitely understands the martial part of martial arts
Thanks for posting, cool to see some ways it which it can be used :)
Always brilliant and realistic!
Good, robust demo between two sifu - you took some decent thwacks there, Nish! Would have liked to have seen that work both ways. ;)
Nice demonstration, some valuable stuff in there. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful Tong Long! Thank you for sharing.
Great stuff!
Great lessons, thanks. But I also had the thought about how important cardio fitness is.

Nice
Love it!!!
If you want to make it real, then you should allow your student to defend and strike. Don't call yourself Sifu. Call yourself mr. Big bully.
Too rough, that was disrespectful and obnoxious. Whether Nish wants to admit it or not, he looked very uncomfortable
Brave, or dumb, student as the teacher performs like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

This is just plain bullying, not a demonstration.

What jerk... I imagine the level of attrition in that school.
Great but as us against a resisting opponent .. of larger size .. other than that it’s BS
