I had met a few truckers during some of my road trips as I like stopping at local dhabas and sometimes sleeping near toll gates where even they rest during the night sometimes. I have always had a nice and good conversation with them irrespective of the region. They are quite humble (most of them) hard-working and very resilient and they bow down to nature and universal forces without being over restless. These are things which probably life on the roads continuously teaches you.

I'm apalled by the harsh conditions that Yogita-ji and the other truckers have to face. Yet they deliver with a smile and without recognitions. They are least respected and constantly harassed by police an RTO officials all over India who if compared are worse than the Somalian pirates. Kudos to the truckers of India.

Long back when I was a resident of New Delhi the fog played Havoc during winter times.I distinctly remember an ghastly incident near Motibagh Signal enclave Road to Palam Airport a Sardarji family of five all were travelling in a car to see off their daughter going to U K.Due to dense fog effect the car hit a bullock cart laden with logs. All of them except one senior survived. The poor girl waited and waited for their family members and left to U.K. with tears not knowing the gravity of the incident. This incident took somewhere in the sixties.

Great production, story and camera work. Absolutely loved it! Makes us aware of the harsh and uncertain reality of natures; the devastation and economic loss it leaves behind. On the otherside it shows the determination and reselience of those truck drivers who have to cope up with the phenomenon every monsoon season for their livelyhood. The documentary is trilling to watch has suspence, shows truckers fighting spirit and emotion.
Well done to production team for creating a documentary on a non-fiction human centric theme.

There is a need to build rail infrastructure in these remote areas to cater to the public and goods transportation instead of launching high speed trains for elits. Also, the good transport system needs to be more robust to enable truckers to load from nearby places where they are unloading. That will help them with getting more income for such tough hard work they do.

I wish government do something for the drivers so that more young people take this as a profession. Harrasment by local police and RTO is the main reason nobody wants to take trucking as a career. Some reforms are needed in this sector towards the welfare of our Indian truckers. Not a job for a weak hearted, its a noble job. God bless our truckers.

@@jaredgalvin because she might want her children to study and get a god job like maybe a doctor, police, engineer, teacher etc not some truck driver or a taxi driver. This job is time intensive. The more they help their mom, the more time to study for their exams is lost.
