i still prefer the album version with john sykes doing the guitar. it felt more powerful and warmer. the remix version is alright but sykes is just on another level in terms of musicianship.

Not sure if you know this, but the lineup that appeared in the videos and did the tour for this album isn’t the same lineup that recorded the album. This lineup is definitely good, and I’m a big fan of drummer Tommy Aldridge, but without John Sykes (the guitarist that actually played on the album) this lineup is second place in my opinion. Also, I saw them on this tour too with Motley Crue. Definitely a good show!

Coverdale couldn't have put a better group of guys together, They gave Motley a run for their money then. Back then Motley ruled the world! They filmed the Wildside video here in Indianapolis too, why it was so damn loud ya couldn't hear yourself think. I am not lying at all, my ears rang for 3 days after that show. I was 8th row on the floor, in the Wildside video, so are my buds. 1st rock video I ever been in in my life! My best friend is ayt the end of it giving them thumbs up. Best concert I ever been too. Hell back then it was general admission., We camped out on top of MSA to get good seats. Line pushed so hard when they opened the doors I didn't hand anyone my ticket, I took off running down the steps to make it to 8th row front and center! Later on people were getting trampled at diff shows so they took geneeral admission away. Now they charge you an arm n leg for those seats!

I didn’t have seats on the floor though for that show. I was near the front but on the side if that makes sense. BTW, you said the touring lineup for this album was all American but actually Tommy Aldridge, who is from Texas, was the only American in this lineup. David Coverdale is from England (obviously), Adrian Vandenberg is from The Netherlands, Vivian Campbell is from Ireland, and Rudy Sarzo is from Cuba. So, definitely not an all American band.
