You are a great teacher. There is a world of difference between all of the capabilities of the iPhone and what little I am doing with it. I appreciate what you do, please accept my “like” and “subscribe”! ( I live in Florida, USA but I also have a sister who is a photographer who lives in Townsville, QLD, AU!)
I took your tips and have been shooting the moon when I have the opportunity and they really turn out pretty good. Thank you for your help. I wish I could share my last shots from a few days ago.
Amazing tutorials, appreciate your time to share your experience and knowledge, would you mind to make a video tutorial about how you take astrophotography using even longer and all settings to get good results?
Very impressed with the Samsung results, yes the huawei are bonkers, I wonder what the pixel would do in astro mode following the moon on a motorised tripod for 4 plus mins, great video buddy 🏴
Pixel can get really great results, but it is a lot more tricky to get it right compared to other brands, as Pixel itself always tries to overexpose. Have you tried moonshots with Astro mode?
I love photography, I’m an iPhone user and I have noticed that other iPhone users use video mode to capture pictures of the moon, I have just never done it myself.. definitely going to start but is it necessary to have a tripod or would it work well without one? I’d assume a tripod is necessary to keep the phone steady.
The problem I have with moon photography on smartphones is that it’s always an isolated picture of it with a black background, which id seriously boring. What would be really cool is getting a nice picture of the moon in front of some landscape, like a metropolis or a nice tree. If someone can figure out how to get a good foreground with fairly detailed moon (just enough not to be blown out), they’ll have my purchase indeed!
I seem to remember some controversy about Huawei and Samsung each having an image of the moon already in the camera and using AI to blend that image with the moon shot phone camera users made. I did a search and found some people saying that is true while others say it is not true. Any idea about that? Thanks Shayne. :-Don
Doesn't the iPhone have an app that gives access to cameras freely that doesn't even in androids? Thank you for the content ❤ and thank you for adopting the audio track feature 🎉 no iPhone não tem um app que der acesso as câmeras de forma livre que nem nos androids? obrigado pelo conteúdo ❤ e obrigado por ter adotado o recurso faixa de áudio 🎉
Fake moon compared to the iPhone I love it Next time do this video again but with the Experia 10 Mark 4 whatever the new one is or the Experia1, Mark 4 I think that is the new one as well. You need to do this test again I would love to see it with that phone as well. Maybe that one VS the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro And Pro Max
@ but the zoom in pictures are trash on the standard models lol they zooming capabilities and the picture quality is way ahead of the standard model, but I also don’t upgrade every year. I weigh every 3 to 4 years and then get the phone because it’s worth it. Obviously, you don’t have to pay for the new phone every year I’m saying this year you should’ve kept your 14 Pro Max and waited until the 17 pro max comes out or the 18 pro max that’s what I’m saying. most people don’t upgrade for 3 or 4 years or more lol and how does the 16 pro suck and have the worst experience when you can upgrade easily and literally get your money back versus if you upgrade from a Samsung phone doesn’t matter how long you’ve had the old phone for you’ll still be able to get more than half your money back with an iPhone I’ve tried trading in a Google pixel for a Samsung phone and I literally got like 50 bucks for it and it was the first Google pixel google and Samsung because they are android have worse trade and values. It’s just the way it is it has been that way for years for me anyway and I always go to Best Buy or Verizon Best Buy was gonna give me $75 for it and Verizon was gonna give me $50 for it. It just proves to you how android has worse with sale value the last iPhones that I’ve traded in to get a new phone iPhone or Samsung phone doesn’t matter I’ve always gotten at least $1000 for it for a four-year-old phone or three year-old phone at Best Buy in the USA and even Verizon so it’s kind of funny I don’t upgrade every year because I don’t need to. I usually upgrade every three or four years. I’m planning on getting the 17 promax if it doesn’t have a new design from the back or any new features then I’m gonna wait until the 18 promax because then it will really have major features but I’ve had a 14 Pro Max for a long time and I will be able to get $1000 off if I upgrade either this year or next year I always do no matter when I upgrade.
@ how has it been the worst phone you’ve ever used in years and a waste of money I can literally easily get good photos because I know what I’m doing. You literally just tap on the subject to focus it and then take the exposure down and take the isolation all the way down to -2.0 on my 14 Pro and I’m able to get a better shot then you can get with the 16 pro that sounds weird to me. I know many people that have the 16 Pro or Pro Max and they are able to get just as good shots as I can if not better.
Seriously? I never change anything with that. Thats crazy mate. I think maybe 12 months ago I changed where the ad would be for one video. All I do these days is tick a box. Has it been this way for long? I use YT Premium and dont see ads.
@@ShayneMostyn It's not just affected your videos! TH-cam obviously reckons they can piggy back on my useage. (But I've NEVER responded to any advert on TH-cam haha!!!)
Apple recently came out with an update to my M1 MacAir that had a broken screen. After the update I was no longer able to run my mirrored screen and it gave me a warning on the mirrored display asking me to open the Display Settings. I never had to do that even with old PCs 10+ years ago. It is a complete money grab. I can no longer use the screen without buying a new screen which over half the price of the M1. They also did something similar to the iPhone 6 when the iPhone 6s came out and bricked thousands of people's phone's weeks into the release of the iPhone 6s forcing people to buy the new product. They are downright evil. It is planned obsolescence and will come to hurt them because they are no longer running top tier products people have no choice but to buy.
3:51 One thing i would say here is that the iPhone also has that graphic in its camera app

Yep! got incredible results, incredibly detailed through external lens, also even with binoculars, you would not believe it was taken via phone.
Moon pics with astro? I would have thought it was too bright. Im going to have to check that out now.
Pode me dizer se há algum app para IOS de empilhamento?

You were tapping the iPhone so hard that there is little wonder the photo was not as sharp as the others where you used a timer (& AI).

Older Huawei 100% true. Current Samsungs, 100% true also. That why I did it both ways.

There are plenty of apps that will shoot manual, if thats what you mean.
Nothing gets more access on ios than apple allows. It's not android.

I'm going to try this with Nokia 3310 classic. Wish me luck. The title stated any phone, so here we go.

I doubt I will be investing in any "Pro" iPhones in future. The 16Pro has been the worst phone I have used in so long. It has been such a waste of $$.
