This case ALWAYS a reminds me of the criminal minds episode, where the brother was responsible and the parents had their retired cop friend help cover the murder. They were rich enough to pay people off. I just feel so bad about the whole situation!
Whoever wrote the bizarre ransom note, it had to have been staged. No real kidnapper would write a long, rambling ransom note with film quotations in it. My feeling is that if the parents weren’t responsible, they knew who was.
I’ve read and studied so much information about this case. So very tragic. In my opinion, I think it was the brother. It was prob accidental. And then his parents covered it up so he wouldn’t get in trouble. Idk and I hate that I can’t have answers!!! She was such a pretty little girl too. Tragic.
@@millyrobinson5757 they said the found pineapple in her stomach. So she was prob up eating a late night snack. And her brother at some point must have snapped and hit her with the flashlight(didn’t they say the flashlight had no batteries?). But what about the semen found? And damage to her private part? I believe the brother raped her then killed her felt guilty and confessed (or was caught in the act of hiding the body) to parents and helped him cover it up because they could not bare losing another offspring. Actually “we” don’t all think that, speak for yourself. That’s what the media would have everyone believe, but I’m 100% positive it was an intruder, probably a male neighbor in his late teens/early 20s who had access to one of the many spare keys John & Patsy gave out. He let himself in on the 25th while the family was at Fleet & Priscilla White’s, had time to write the ransom note from Patsy’s stationery (while wearing gloves), make a garrote from her paintbrush and hide out somewhere in the house waiting for them to get home and go to bed. The parents would not have had the wherewithal to write a 2 1/2 page note if they killed her, they’d be too busy cleaning up and trying to get their story straight. Also, why would they let Burke go to a neighbor’s house and be out of their sight during the initial Dec. 26 Boulder PD investigation if he knew what had actually happened? Kids are terrible at lying and the detective who interviewed him would have been able to pick up on that very quickly. It doesn’t matter that he came off as “creepy” on Dr. Phil; he was probably just nervous given that it was his first public interview regarding his sister’s murder. Finally, who is the still-unidentified male DNA profile from, since John & Burke have been ruled out?
I think Burke made the bowl of pineapple for himself (reason for his prints) but didn’t finish them then went to bed, Bennett saw them on the counter and ate some without parents noticing. That’s my theory for the bowl of pineapple

this is my speculation / opinion, i think that it was the father because the ransom note mentioning an amount similar to the christmas bonus means that it would more likely be either the father or the mother knowing that number. i don't think her brother would know that figure. next the dna evidence might not have been 100% reliable pointing the finger at several people, but the thing that was consistent is that it always pointed to a male suspect. there was no evidence of forced entry. i also dont understand what the motive would be of her mother to do this, so that's why i think it's the father
this case , has always been so crazy too me, the note that was left, and looks like the moms hand writing always throws me off a little... idk , if parents did it or not, but its very possible....
handwriting experts actually brought Patsy and John into a station and had them write stuff down to compare handwritings. Patsy's was an EXACT match. there is no doubt she wrote it, which is the annoying part, like, arrest her for something aghh
I really love this series. If I’m not mistaken you’re from the north east: Are you familiar with the Cosmo Dinardo murders? They happened about 20 minutes away from me and it had the whole area captivated - it would be a good one for a future video. There’s a documentary on one of the streaming apps called The Lost Boys of Bucks County that does a really good dive on the whole timeline. My wife actually had a co-worker who babysat for the family briefly when Cosmo was early school-age. She ended up quitting because he was so violent with her. When she told the parents about his behavior they just blew it off and said “Just smack him…”. So there’s probably some dots to connect there.

it was Burke. (my evidence is below!!) as Sam mentioned, one of the death causes was the blunt force trauma to the head. there was a missing fragment from JonBenét's skull, rectangular shape, about 2 inches wide. in the crime scene, next to Burke's bowl of pineapple (his fingerprints matched), there was a flashlight. of course, experts thought it would be impossible for a kid this young to cause this much damage. (following the theory that JonBenét stole Burke's pineapple at midnight and he hit her) so they brought in a kid with almost an exact same build as Burke's, and had him hit a fake skull with the same flashlight. it make almost the same damage as it did to JonBenét, it was uncanny. it is also known that Burke had INSANE anger issues that no one even cared to treat him for. for example, a couple of years before the murder, JonBenét and Burke were playing around in the backyard, and somehow, one thing led to another, and Burke literally struck her with a golf club right in the cheekbone, shattering it in pieces. She had to get reconstructive surgery for that.
You do realize the incident with the golf club was accidental, right? Burke was 6 and JonBenet was 3 at the time- as he was swinging the club, she walked up behind him. It’s about as intentional as the time my sister ran in front of a kid on a playground swing and got hit in the face when she was about the same age.
@@athena854 listen, i would like to hear your theory on this case, please (genuienely). at the end of the 911 call, you can hear muffled cries. tech experts amplified and studied the clip. it was patsy crying "what did you do? oh my god" and then a kid's voice saying something back.

I’d like to know how you account for the unidentified male DNA found on her body- it doesn’t belong to John or Burke. That 911 call was analyzed by NASA and the FBI; they weren’t able to tell if that was actually Burke in the background. Also no wonder the grand jury voted to indict. They spent over a year hearing the prosecution’s case for John & Patsy’s guilt, whereas Lou Smit had to fight to present his opposing case (i.e. the intruder theory). He ultimately got TWO HOURS to do so. Tell me how that’s fair. Boulder PD knew that with such a contaminated crime scene, they had no hope of finding the killer, which is why they just took the easy way out and blamed John & Patsy. Lucky for them, all the news networks took the bait and made their job so much easier by playing up the bedwetting, beauty pageants and Burke’s issues. By the way, having a parent with a serious long-term illness (as Burke & JonBenet did) can be emotionally devastating for a child. I’m not surprised that one or both kids would have some issues after that. I’ve already posted my intruder theory here in the comments, so why do you think John & Patsy murdered their child, or that a 9 year old would be capable of killing his sister? What are your sources to back this up? Edit: I can keep going here with the ransom note, the pineapple, whatever.
@@athena854 okok so as for the DNA, i think you are talking about the underwear, there have been theories and all, but i feel like it could’ve been the factory workers packing up the clothes, since it didn’t match any DNA. and again, it would’ve been imposible for someone to break in since there were no signs of forced entry, and the basement window was covered with an intact cob web. there have also been people randomly saying they killed her. for example i don’t remember his name, but he literally just gave himself up, but was later on found dead in his home.

I really think it was the brother and I think the parents figured out it was him but then covered for him. And why didn’t the police tell the parents not to have any family members over when they were still collecting evidence, that’s what tells me the police didn’t really care about the case also when the guy just walked away from the door that was latched. This whole case is fishy
Hey soft asmr around the 1980s or the 1990s there was a girl murdered in my town and it would be really cool for you to do it in asmr it was in Nuneaton and a girl called naomi Smith was murdered by a random guy but it would be super interesting for me to see what you can find to this case because I'm related to the killer so it would interest me to know more about it because I barely know anything about him or what happend that night. Also keep up the good work 💖
I really believe that the patents are innocent. The police suspected the parents from the beginning , and didn't really investigate other people. If I were a suspected in a murder case , I will also be hesitant to talk to police. And poor Burke, his life must be difficult- he knows lots of people suspect him.
I know a guy who stole her tricycle and some of the candy canes outside the family's home after this happened. He managed to turn it into a documentary which was pretty interesting. Pretty sure you can watch it online but it's pretty different from what you'd expect
Sam, not sure if you mentioned this and I just missed it, but Patsy Ramsey died in 2006 from overian cancer. I know you usually mention if anyone involved in the case has passed so that's why I said I may have missed it.
Hi Soft ASMR just wanted to ask if you could do a true crime video about junku frutu (I don’t know if I spelled it right, sorry) it is a very famous case of Japan
I’ve been reading a lot about the Jon Benet case lately and I’m beginning to think it was an outsider. I think the choking being called the reason for death by the coroner has convinced me the family would not do this to her.
I was wondering if i could request that you do a true crime asmr on the Casey Anthony case. it’s a really interesting case that was well known and very popular
I still think that the brother might have accidentally done it. Even though he was a child and it was a accident. People would have known about it. The father might have ended up with business problems from it. People may have thought his sone was crazy even though he was just a kid. It would have been embarrassing to the family for people to know that the son did it. I really do feel like it makes sense. It would t be the first time parents covered for a young kid accidentally killing a sibling Because they didn't want people to find out.
I strongly believe it was her brother who might’ve accidentally killed his little sister, the parents found out what he did and instead of losing both kids they covered up the accidental murder to protect the only one they had left, like they said he was asleep but his prints were on the bowl that fed his little sister pineapple which was the time that he probably hurt her
i have a feeling the parents did it. they messed up all the evidence, had people come over and touch everything so no evidence could have been found. the dad had picked her body up so the finger prints couldn’t have been found
Plot twist- the mom had an affair starting the year prior with a man in her art class and mentioned her husbands bonus which resulted in her getting new paint brushes to her lover. She promises she will leave her husband but then later tells him she can’t because she has to focus on her family. He acts calm and collected but is secretly crazy, he shows up at random wanting her back and she makes him hide in the room with the notepad where he rights the note mentioning the bonus then gets the paint brush (one from the set) to kill Bennet and frame her mother. He used the brush and the bonus amount to ensure she’d know it was him but couldn’t say without exposing her affair
I know this case inside and out, but I don't care, I'm gonna watch it on repeat until I fall asleep bc you are the best asmrtist! x

Also keep up the good work 💖
Omggg yesss i was literally watching the other true crime vids yesterday!
Complimenti per la tua bellissima voce , mi aiuta a dormire 😊 saluti dalla Sardegna 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
So heartbreaking 😣
Thanks Sam her story is very sad and tragic
I really believe that the patents are innocent. The police suspected the parents from the beginning , and didn't really investigate other people. If I were a suspected in a murder case , I will also be hesitant to talk to police. And poor Burke, his life must be difficult- he knows lots of people suspect him.
Where did you get that Christmas tree from?
I feel like the combination of "this shi scary" and "hey relax" is so weird I fw it tho
You should do Scott Peterson, it happened around Christmas
I heard the grandfather did it one time randomly and can’t get that out of my head. Anyone else heard anything about him?
I’ve been reading a lot about the Jon Benet case lately and I’m beginning to think it was an outsider. I think the choking being called the reason for death by the coroner has convinced me the family would not do this to her.
My psych teacher from high school was in pageants and she personally knew Patsy before Jon Benet’s death
I was wondering if i could request that you do a true crime asmr on the Casey Anthony case. it’s a really interesting case that was well known and very popular
Random question but is the "COLDEST" water bottle good?
I still think that the brother might have accidentally done it. Even though he was a child and it was a accident. People would have known about it. The father might have ended up with business problems from it. People may have thought his sone was crazy even though he was just a kid. It would have been embarrassing to the family for people to know that the son did it. I really do feel like it makes sense. It would t be the first time parents covered for a young kid accidentally killing a sibling Because they didn't want people to find out.
Hi Sam! Happy Thursday
Put the video on loop and about to go to sleep. Thanks for making this btw
I believe it was the father of a pageant competitor.
I strongly believe it was her brother who might’ve accidentally killed his little sister, the parents found out what he did and instead of losing both kids they covered up the accidental murder to protect the only one they had left, like they said he was asleep but his prints were on the bowl that fed his little sister pineapple which was the time that he probably hurt her
I will forever think the brother did it!
If you haven't, could you do a video about the ken and barbie killers? It's a really interesting story
always look forward to these videos!!
Idk why I find true crime relaxing
Physcopathic behaviours
There's a good bit of evidence that lines up with her brother doing it plus he had a history of hurting his sister.
i have a feeling the parents did it. they messed up all the evidence, had people come over and touch everything so no evidence could have been found. the dad had picked her body up so the finger prints couldn’t have been found
Relaxing with interesting content.
As another relaxation channel, I can say that this channel is amazing, deep relaxation is guaranteed❤️
idk about y’all but the brother absolutely did it, accidentally, but still did it
THANK YOU FOR THIS SAM !
I believe that Burke killed her, and Jon and Patsy covered it up.
inhye in the intro>>> (hue, the one in the black pants)
Burke wasn't 9 years older; he was 3 years older. He was 9 when his 6-year-old sister was killed.
2 suggestions. Hendricks murders, Bloomington, illinois 1984 and Robert Bee murder, Pekin, Illinois 2016
Can you do Bonnie and Clyde???
