Also, a Pixie-Stick memory from my childhood (1990s): They came in big and small sizes, and the smaller tubes were thin paper that would rip apart if you looked at them wrong. The bigger ones were tubed up in thin colorful plastic that was melted/sealed at both ends by the manufacturer, and had to be cut open with scissors.
When I saw “the candy man” I thought it was a serial killer that would grab children in the late 19th century or early 2000 and take them with the stereotypical candy ruse, I also thought this was boutta be a stereotypical “DONT go near the white van” type thing

Hey, Sam. Great job on this terrible crime. I grew up in that area ( Pasadena, Texas) in the 50s snd 60s. My birthday being Nov 1, I often had Halloween birthday celebrations and associated it with such happy times. When this happened I was a newlywed living elsewhere but remember how horrified I was that it happened on my home turf , and for many years parents and kids were hyper aware of how Halloween could be dangerous and Candy was routinely checked by parents and police. Before that no one could imagine the need for that. Innocence lost. I so resented innocence being taken away. AND, just a year before (and years before John Wayne Gacy was discovered) a series of rape torture murders so unbelievably horrifying were brought to light having happened around Houston and the last in Pasadena near the home where I was raised. It was an older man named Dean Coryll and a 17 yr old Elmer Wayne Henley who tricked young boys into visiting Coryll where they were raped and murdered. Many young men disappeared and met this awful end. Before 1974 I had never in my life heard of anything so terrible and it was like something changed in me when I did learn about it. Henley is 60 now and serving life. And all happening near where I had spent a happy childhood. Made me so sad and disgusted that such evil took place there. It was like What the H--!!!! And I’m sure what you heard about pixie sticks when you were little was because of Tim’s murder.

I remember a time in my childhood where blades were stick in choclate bars, here in Germany. I dont know if i remember right but i thougt it was mars. There was a store in my hometown were this was found before somebody got hurt. Btw the nice video 👍😊

I had a really stressful day my sister and her fiance came over and told me and my parents she has cancer in her lymph nodes so today has been emotional and hectic.
