Thanks for tuning in to me waffle on 😅 After being on my own for what feels like forever already it was nice to sit down and get it all out! I’m uploading from sunny Belgium where I’ve been out filming all day, excited to show you my journey so far already! ❤
Feel free to continue waffling on! I'm mostly housebound with ME/CFS, so I'm on my own the majority of the time, and I also like to have podcasts, vlogs, music, etc playing. This vid made for perfect cosy company!
Beautiful quilt from your Grandmother, what a treasure and lovely way to remember her. She’d be pleased that you are sewing your curtains. Safe travels 😀
Omg yess about the pesto pasta. That’s what we had for our first meal in our new camper van 😂 Also made way too much! The van looks awesome, we are decorating ours at the moment, there were some nanna chic cushions that had to go lol
The chickens are probably fed differently, so taste and cook differently. Some (cheaply reared) chickens are fed fish meal pellets that make the meat and the eggs taste fishy. You should tease Chris with a YT shorts mini-series of fried chicken outlets that you find on your way around Europe :) Good call on the curtains; it's surprising how much heat they can retain when separating your sleep area from the rest of the van. Thermal blackout curtains can make a real difference in keeping the warm/cool air segregated from the cab area too.
Your van looks brilliant, not so sure on the cold tea tho😂😂 but you like beans on toast so I'm 100% with you on that one. Keep it up your very likable 😊 Gaz
A great 'slice of life' vid. I appreciate the look at your travels, and recounting things like your encounter in Calais, but I was mostly yelling at my screen at the beginning knowing full well that was going to be WAY too much pasta. Oh well. Leftovers!
Definitely looks nice and cozy. Alone time can give you the opportunity to recharge your inner self. However I too like to listen to background "voices" so it's just not too lonely. lol Have a great day!
I was so excited to see another video uploaded so quickly! I have always enjoyed your guy's videos and especially love listening to your accent. Much continued safe travels to you from Minnesota🙂
Meat will definitely taste different depending on what the animal was fed. Milk will also. For example, in the US, cows in the Midwest are typically corn-fed, while cattle out on the west coast are barley-fed.....the first time I tasted beef in Washington State, I just about gagged from the taste! I'm from Kentucky. LOL!
I've also traveled on my own but had to take Lyfts or Uber rides since I don't drive, not yet at least. I hope you stay safe and sound happy and healthy throughout your solo travels!
I really enjoyed the vlog! Sometimes a chill vlog is nice. Nice to start off with. Lol nan sofa vibes. 😂 I really like the fabric you chose. It's nice to make your space your own! I am really curious about Jaffa cakes now. 🤔 I just saw they have them in New Zealand. Might have to give them a go. 😇
Stay safe, and hope you enjoy the trip! If the thread links on the curtain starts to come apart, get hold of some curtain heading/header tape or curtain tape. That's the stuff with the strong strings that you sew on and the hooks go through the strings. You won't need the heavyweight stuff so it'll be less than a tenner, depending on where you get it. :)
Thank you, enjoying it so far! ☺️ And ohh I think that was on the old curtains, I was wondering what that was 😅 that sounds like a good shout, thanks!!
Omg Jaffa Cakes 🤤 i miss Jaffa Cakes, I haven't had a Jaffa Cake in years 😭 I've mastered making roast potatoes but the one thing I really miss from the UK is roast parsnips, I've never ever seen a parsnip in Thailand 😅 Anyway stay safe and keep the doors locked! I'm sure you'll be fine but take care ❤
6:39 😂 I don’t wanna be the one to tell you, but corn is a starch. It’s not a vegetable lol it’s kind of the same as eating bread and potatoes. Just always make sure you get a carb, (unless you’re trying to lose weight, )a veggie, and a protein in every meal. But corn is considered a starch, not a veggie.
Good luck and be safe! Let the adventure begin! Enjoy your videos. Do you have to worry about the registration on your van when you travel from country to country. Visa issues? Does it cause delays? Great videos... Love them!
Thank you!! And no you don’t, in the EU you sometimes don’t even know if you’ve passed a border 😂 it’s super easy! You just have to watch how long you’ve stayed on your visa because we only get 3 months now in certain countries, but it’s very easy to go from country to country. Occasionally you come across border patrols that sometimes pull you over, like in Switzerland, but it’s very simple and quick still 😊 thank you again! 🥰🥰
A suggestion if you don't mind and you may already practice this. Don't give the exact location of your overnight stays unless you've uploaded the video after you left that location. I'm sure you'll be fine as you are travel savvy. Looking forward to your travel vlogs!
Thank you! 🙏 definitely thought it through and only posting locations once I’ve left ☺️ got to be safety conscious living in the van for sure! And thanks 🥰
Where is Mama Dom when you need her to tackle that washing up?! Hope you had a good journey across the channel and I am looking forward to some Belgium waffle! 🧇 ❤👍

So would you say you’re now _Belgian_ waffling on?
Sorry for the terrible joke! 😂
@@lindakim3051 definitely 😂😂

Yay haha I’m glad the vid made for some good company! ☺️💕
Beautiful quilt from your Grandmother, what a treasure and lovely way to remember her. She’d be pleased that you are sewing your curtains. Safe travels 😀
I do love it, I think she would be, she always wanted me to get into sewing 😅 Thank you 🥰
I love your waffling! Keeps me company while I'm getting ready in the morning.
Hehe thank you, I’m glad to hear that! 🥰
This is one of my favorite videos now. Just such a nice break from the usual razzle dazzle edits that mostly all wind up looking and sounding the same
Haha I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m going to take a more chilled approach with the videos ☺️
I feel you I'm watching this while hand knitting a blanket!😂 your videos have such a chill vibe- thanks for sharing!
Hope the blanket’s going well!😂 thanks! ❤️

Haha thanks! it was nice to sit down and get it all out! But yes it was indeed wayyyyy too much pasta, made enough for the next day’s dinner too 😅
Definitely looks nice and cozy. Alone time can give you the opportunity to recharge your inner self. However I too like to listen to background "voices" so it's just not too lonely. lol Have a great day!
Super cosy! And yeah I think it’s been good for me so far. Haha need those background voices every now and then 😅 thanks, you too! 💕

Jaffa cakes represent the height of British cuisine!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊 thank you, it beats the Granny fabric for sure haha, you definitely need to try some jaffas! 🥰

Stumbled across your page, as my mother wants to do the solo van life so bad.
Oh awesome! I really enjoyed travelling solo in my van, I’d really recommend she takes the plunge and goes for it! 😊

You’re right! I never saw a parsnip either 😂 I missed them too! Thank you, I will ☺️❤️
I would love to see what your van looks like on the outside ❤
You can see it in the video I put up yesterday! Got some shots of it in Bruges, but I’ll film more of it ☺️
@@AlwaysAway Hmmm, I don't know how I missed it 🤔

The fact that I know what you’re talking about lmao 😂 there’s an idea!!
Van tour! Excited to see you on your solo travels ❤
Will have one up soon! And thank you 🥰
hope the drive goes well!

Does your bronchitis get better here?
It healed up a few weeks ago now
Did it heal since leaving CM?
It healed in my last 2 weeks in Chiang Mai when I stopped going out and kept the purifier on
Where is Mama Dom when you need her to tackle that washing up?! Hope you had a good journey across the channel and I am looking forward to some Belgium waffle! 🧇 ❤👍
Exactly! Need Mama Dom here asap! Thank you, it’s been great so far 😄💕
