If you hold it upside down or the regular way and let it attach at the top first it's more of a wavy style. Also it seems like your hair may be a little too dry. I've noticed with my airwrap that I can get a smoother look when my hair is wet and by applying colorwow dream coat, a blowout styling cream and a mousse.. Since it doesn't get super hot it's not smoothing out frizzy hair as much as a hot tool but colorwow dream coat helps to smooth out your hair. I think the final result was cute! Did you shake it out or comb through it at all? Also the firm smoothing brush or the brush without the balls on the tip helps smooth out frizzy better. If you use it on wet hair and use tension you can get a smoother look.
Although your hair is nice and curly, I totally see what you are saying!! I have short hair and am always wondering about the dyson and how it would work with my hair. This really helps with my decision! Love an honest review!!
