The stupid cartoon fan video is not an improvement over this. This is a great video. I like the vignette of the man being triggered by the custard into a childhood memory of emasculation, and then his mastery of the situation. It fits with the lyrics, which refer to Roland Barthes' essay "The Death of the Author". Barthes wrote about the essential conflict of modern world- how it keeps us separate, isolated, alienated, but also offers infinite possibilities to transcend this state. It's a clever video, and a memorable tune.
