Thanks for the review! I never had this as a kid and while watching your video, I hopped on ebay and picked one up for $13. Can't wait for it to arrive so I can put a Marauders Gun Runners figure into it. I think my next search will be for the Cobra Ferret I have some custom Tomax and Xamot figures who'd look awesome on it! 😎👍
awesome lil tank. if i ever get back into collecting...one of the first things i would get. i dun mind the smaller toys because in alot of ways...it fits what the joes were....fast response specialized teams. Small and fast was just as important as the larger more destructive units as well.
I had this vehicle and loved it! Hasbro should just re release all the old joe and cobra figures and vehicles and that's it! I remember I preferred Barbeque as it's driver for some strange reason...
I got this vehicle shortly after I posted my comment, I should imagine, and I'm glad you like it, but shouldn't begrudge it for not having very many features. Not everything has to be the Rolling Thunder, or the Killer Whale, or whatever. This is a Top tier vehicle because of it's simplicity. I adore it. Probably a Top 10 vehicle for me.
I don’t find armadillo a light tank. I find it a anti aircraft tank gun shooting down trouble bubbles and cobra rattler and even shooting down serpentor’s air chariot.
hey HCC788 I am 14 but I really like gi joe and I watch the shows and I read the comics but I want to start collecting vintage gi joes are there any suggestions of a couple of figures and maybe two or three vehicles that way I can get a good start to collecting an yes I am a subscriber and I think your awesome and make very informative reviews.
skilescraper Thanks for subscribing! I'm glad you' enjoy our old Joe stuff from the 80s. If you want to start a collection, you should first decide the scope of your collection. Do you want everything (that can get very expensive)? Do you want only certain years, or only favorite characters? You can pick up some common figures complete with file cards for less than $20 on ebay. Check the websites linked in the information on my videos (click "Show more") for directories of the toys. You can also pick up smaller vehicles (like the Armadillo) fairly cheaply. The Skyhawk is another one that is pretty cheap and easy to get. From there, maybe work your way up to the big stuff if you want to. Good luck! I hope you'll stick around for more videos!

I traded some baseball cards to a friend when I was a kid for one of these. It was always one of my go to vehicles one of my favorites.

Although I never had this one, I like it! Instead I had a couple of one man mini tanks that my dad made out of wood. I played with those quite a bit!

I wasn't really into Joe vehicles as much as I was Cobra, but I really loved the Armadillo.
This inspired me to get one. Got a good deal on a boxed example. It's cool.

When I was young none of my vehicles ever ran out of gas or my weapons run out of ammo, I must have gotten the Hollywood editions. ;)

I had this as a kid. Took it to the beach. The waves took it and i saw for a second in the water and it was gone.

The M50 Ontos could have been an inspiration for the Armadillo. This definitely seems to be the case with the Slaughter's Marauders version.
