Your video could not be more straight in making a pillow with zipper. Thank you so much . On my way to do 3 pillows now and am taking you with me , lol.
I've been watching multiple video's and this is the one that explained using a cut-to-size Polyester zipper. Voila! Exactly the tutorial I needed to view, Melissa's helpful hints were great! Melissa has given me the confidence to insert zippers rather than always using the envelope style pillow backs! Thank-you Melissa and Fat Quarter Shop!
This was great. I am making pillow covers for my granddaughter. It is good to know to cut the fabric the same size as the pillow. So yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thank you.
Great video! I can sew zippers in the bottom seam of my pillow but I think it would be really hard with piping. I think this technique would work well for me. Well done. Who picked the music? It’s just gorgeous and well chosen.
I've never thought of putting the zipper in the middle of the backing. It seems 100% less scary doing it this way vs. having an invisible zipper on the edge.
Great tutorial! I found this to be very informative, and helpful. However, I admit, I found much of it hard to understand. If you could just slow down and enunciate your words a little more clearly, I could follow you better. My southern ears just can’t listen that fast! 🤪
really easy-to-follow instructions. I hate to be fussy, but I found the use of "go ahead and" before nearly every verb really irritating and distracting.
So easy. You're a great teacher, thank you
Your instructions worked perfectly. Thank you!!! So helpful. 🥰

Great tutorial series on piping and adding a zipper. Thanks!
Thank you very much. I've seen tutorials on different sizes of pillows. I wondered what size the inside should be. Now I know.

Thank learnt a lot from this tutorial
Best zipper insertion video I’ve ever seen - clear instructions, excellent lighting, and useful tips. Thank you. Yana in Alaska
I’ve always been afraid of zippers period. Thanks for this instruction I’m finally going to do this! Good job of showing how without fear.
Wow! That takes the fear out of zippers for me! Gonna makes some covers for dog beds now with zippers so they can be washed! Thank you!
Great tutorial! Thank you.
Thank you for the very thorough tutorials! 😊

Thank you Melissa! This was awesome!
Clear instruction, I love the idea. BTW what type of iron are you using
Hello! The iron is called Pink Auto Lift Pro Zone Iron www.fatquartershop.com/pink-auto-lift-pro-zone-iron
Thanks Melissa - I can't wait to try this technique! I love the way the pillows look. Very sharp!
Great Tutorial, thank you! What iron did you use? I love the built-in riser. :)
which iron are you using?
Hello Lea! She is using a Pink Auto Lift Pro Zone Iron: www.fatquartershop.com/pink-auto-lift-pro-zone-iron
Thanks Melissa
Great video. I think for a bigger pillow it might be better to put the zipper nearer to one side rather than in the middle.
I think that makes sense for any size. Would be much easier to insert if it were offset vs center.

Sew fun!❤️
Nicely done. Her flapping hands on the close ups were distracting but it’s obvious that Melissa is a hand talker. 😏

I agree. She was difficult to understand in some places.

Lose the music! It’s too loud.
