- While in Marseilles, we visited the famous Chateau d'If island prison which was at the home to the fictional character in the book, The Count of Monte Cristo.
You can take the ferry to the island but to visit Frioul islands, you have to pay extra.
I would recommend doing both islands.

Song - Love You
His name was Edmond... not Edward.
You are right
I had read the story a few days ago, After of the Reading I can't believe it that The Charector 'Edmond Dantes' isn't a fictional Character Only. Now I've realised that Now My Vision to know the world is Totally incomplete .
A Little Love You from Bharatvarsh 🇮🇳🇮🇳
"Danglare,Villefort,Modego,Caderousse" he repeated allmost day and night for nearly 10 years after Abbes enlighting ;-)
The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite stories of all time. I love the film as well. I’m definitely going to have to visit that place when I get the chance. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Me too.Watched it many times.A beautiful movie.
Yeah I’m in the middle of reading, now I wanna book a trip to Marseille and the Chateau d’If. Cool to see videos like this where the story comes alive.
I've read the book at least six times. Hollywood can produce umpteen dozen Spiderman movies but can't make one really good COMC film. It would have to be at least a four movie series.
At the 30 second mark we see the magnificent cathedral of Notre Dame de la Garde high on a hill overlooking the city. It's Marseille's most famous landmark and the most beautiful.
The Count of Monte Cristo is not an invention. The man in flesh and blood who inspired Alexandre Dumas for the figure of Edmond Dantès was his father, Thomas Alexandre Davy de la Pailleterie known as "General Dumas", who in 1799 was imprisoned in the Aragonese Castle of Taranto, which in the famous novel became the Castel d'If. Precisely in the Aragonese Castle of Taranto on 10 September 2020 an exhibition curated by Tonio Attino was inaugurated with illustrations by Nico Pillinini, a narrative path that describes the Taranto imprisonment of the Napoleonic officer, transformed into a literary hero by his son. The exhibition is always open: we are waiting for you !!

I'm here after ' the count of Monte Cristo' in mirchi Bangla....
Same with you
Edmond Dantes... the poor kid
3:36 points to the woman's pelvis..."Lets go, lets get in there"
Perfection! The Chateau kind of gives me the feeling of a medieval version of Alcatraz!
Another stunning piece of production Igor!
With all this swimming you both are doing, I’m expecting you to compete with Michael Phelps soon. Haha
Matt, that was exactly my thoughts! Alcatraz had its inspiration here I think. I’m a better diver than swimmer!
I had the same thoughts, I haven’t been to the chateau but I saw it when driving by in marseille and the first thing I thought of was French Alcatraz
I love that the boats name was Edmond Dantes 😂 this def on my list of places to visit.
Ça dîne envie d’aller le visiter 👍🏻
fresh caught fish are sold right near the ferry dock. custom since befor the romans arrived locals pretty well buy up all the catch rather quickly
That's it? there's 4 min. of my life I'll never get back.
You should include the time it took you to write this into the 4 mins.
A short, precise video. Bravo! But it has ended up creating an immense appetite for more information.
Thanks for watching!
Edmond, not Edward. One would think if it were one of your favourites, then you would know that..
I made a mistake. Yikes. Oh my god!
neat after you arrive? via ferry you can explore for as long as you want. lot of walking requred though then catch the ferry back. its a regular run.
It was in 1890 that became prison. Political prisoners are not common prisoners. They were not criminals

Just some real feedback, I wanted about 2 minutes of your video and then gave it a thumbs-down. The content is great but the music is unbearable.
I’m not a fashion blog. Don’t care about dislikes.
@@IgorTravelsTheWorld You say you're not a fashion blog but you use atrocious music trying to BE like a fashion blog. I'm just giving you real feedback, take it or leave it, I don't care about your success or failure. I care about good travel content. If you're going to put content out in the world and someone comments unfavorably and you get butt hurt, it shows a level of immaturity.
