    NEW VIDEOS EVERY TUESDAY!
Our last day in Marseille. I wanted to visit the Chateau D'if, featured in the Count of Monet Cristo, but the weather was too bad :( Instead we explored the neighboring Isle de Frioul. We also visited the underwhelming MUCEM.

The Count of Monte Cristo is not an invention. The man in flesh and blood who inspired Alexandre Dumas for the figure of Edmond Dantès was his father, Thomas Alexandre Davy de la Pailleterie known as "General Dumas", who in 1799 was imprisoned in the Aragonese Castle of Taranto, which in the famous novel became the Castel d'If. Precisely in the Aragonese Castle of Taranto on 10 September 2020 an exhibition curated by Tonio Attino was inaugurated with illustrations by Nico Pillinini, a narrative path that describes the Taranto imprisonment of the Napoleonic officer, transformed into a literary hero by his son. The exhibition is always open: we are waiting for you !!
