He beats a lot of mages no matter what spec they are, and was still challenging for me (try fighting him yourself). Also he likes to keep his secrets safe and doesn't like to share them I believe. Hence the reason he's the only really good Arcane Mage. He doesn't make guides but he streams. Look him up. P.S. I would never fight an arcane mage for a vid except Abni.
They've played with and against each other before. I believe theres some arena clips in one of cartoonz's videos where they team up, and i know theres a hansol video where he's playing against cartoonz.
I think what he meant by that was because of his images, there could be a couple of problems. Using images against casters doesn't do much as u don't need to kite, and the images can accidentaly break your freezes.

the highlight of my entire wow 9 year career is beating Abn in a duel in Durotar ... mind you, he had just won a duel, lost some CD's... was playing Arcane, gemming stam, and enchanted with Colossus.. and I barely won.... unlikely to happen again.
Hansol did you ever use ur mirror images in these fights? You kept trying to catch up with abni and wouldn't the images frost bolts helped slow him down + done a little bit of dmg? Were you worried about the arcane explosion charges on ur images stacking too fast?
whole point of mirror images is to (in my opinion) pop it when someone targets you so they have to re-target you and in that time you have free casting time. Idk if it would break dragons breath or polly, and if it does then it is most likely bugged.

Blizzard release a wotlk legacy server and make a invite league to all the former bc and wotlk rank 1's and high 2600+ players from bg9 and other bgs. Ask skillcap to promote and possibly sponsor this. Add a big prize for the end of the season. Let these invite players have a guest invite which allows them to invite up to 10 friends that did not make the league who they considered good at the time. Depending on how they perform that season they will be able to remain in invite league or drop down to another league. I don't care if you have to get arenajunkies to sponsor this just do it and yw
Yeah thats true and a valid point, but yeah any damage taken while in dragons breath or poly breaks it so mirror images would disable cc, they also break freezes as they shatter them, thats why i dont think he used them but yeah i still use them when i play fire so im not too certain whether what i said is agreeable with hansol

Abni was spam spellstealing Hansol's shields, that's why he wasn't taking any damage. Note that the Spellsteal nerf only applied to Frost and Fire specs, Arcane was untouched.
If you guys watch abn's stream its pretty clear he doesn't win trade. He was rank1 in 2s bloodlust when he was playing with jahmilli earlier in the season.
Is that an addon or settings you use to change the class portrait to the spells your opponent is afflicted by? And the other above your keybinds seems to be all the interrupts and their cds... matter of fact what are some must have Mage addons for PVP?
I play Arcane predominately in RBGs and World PvP, though it isn't a spec suited for dueling or 2s. It's a supportive one for larger groups. Think of them as your heavy artillery .. a movable turret that smashes out large hits on single targets, and can build and save their bursts for blowing up anyone who's overextended. That said, if they had a poly-stun or a knockback as they had in Cata, it would possibly allow them to duel and do 2s.
Arcanes are only squishy for Frost/Fire if you don't keep 100% uptime on shields etc, as the thing the Arcane mage relies on is spellstealing. As long as he keeps stealing your Slowfall and not pyro/lance procs, you'll be fine
i think it is becouse they are such a popular class that very few complain about them becouse so many actualy play them, one of the most popular classes ever
IB is 100% crit chance. My playstyle relys on RNG 0% of the time. I get procs with IB which is guaranteed procs. Check out my guides for more info because I can tell you aren't experienced at playing Fire.
One thing i notice him not doing is spellstealing arcane power. Dont get me wrong, Hansol is a very good mage, but for those watching this wanting to know how to beat an arcane mage, spellsteal the arcane power and cancel it so he cant take it back. This can be easily done in a macro of /cast spellsteal, /cancelaura Arcane Power. Keep up the good work

The main reason Abni was able to hang with Hansol was that he had the spellsteal glyph that gave him HP every time he stole something.
Kinda like saying the reason why Mike Tyson didn't punch trough peoples heads is because he used gloves.

look at dmg from pyroblast. it hit more then than it does now with full pridefull with trinket procs etc

From what he said in his stream, he uses Ring of Frost for RBGs (AoE grip + Ring of Frost is too much to pass up) and Frostjaw for everything else.

i think they're good for defensive uses. I pop them then blink away from melee. Usually it fucks them up.
