People usually know Mauritius Island which is our cousin island. The best is to go to La Réunion for treks ans adventures and then relaxing in Mauritius island

Depending on where you Are from... Direct flight from Paris Or From Asia generally flight via Mauritius island then Mauritius to Réunion island is only 30/40minutes
This has been commented before. That one is not in one stage and it’s also not like cascade waterfall. It’s just a punchbowl that makes a freefall from a cliff.

These island should be done on 1 travel. First Réunion islands are différent and should be done on one trip First Réunion for The beautiful treks, moutains and adventures Then relaxing on The beautiful beaches of Mauritius
@@Mary4Swiss Yes, I've been to both islands. First to Mauritius, then to Reunion. I just fell in love with Reunion - nothing beats its beauty. I'll definitely go back there. Mauritius is just boring in comparison :)
@@alexev4329 yes, Mauritius is first for its beautiful beaches. But I have to say if we go in the center of the island or wild South there are also beautiful landscapes.. I like fishermen's village in the South for example Réunion has its beauty on the landscapes, mountains, volcano, waterfalls... All its power comes from the earth
@@Mary4Swiss I spent a month on each island and traveled around them from ens to end- Mauritius is of course also beautiful and it has its own hidden places, but unfortunately there are not so many of them - most of the island has been cleared of forests and planted with sugar cane - I can only imagine what a beautiful place it was before the arrival of the colonizers. Most likely, Reunion would have suffered the same fate if not for the inaccessibility of the mountainous terrain. Nevertheless, I liked both islands - they exceeded all my expectations!
@@alexev4329 I lived on each island for many years (I m native from Réunion island) and lived in Mauritius for 8 years. I can say that Mauritius has several unknown places in its center. But of course Réunion is more attractive when it comes to mountains and waterfalls. Both are beautiful 💕
Nice video! How did you get by language wise on the island? PS. The highest waterfalls on Reunion are Cascades de Trou de Fer (725m) and Cascade Blanche (640m)
Getting to remote places in China is difficult but doable.. Reunion shouldn’t be a problem language wise 😜 Haha that’s not really fair because it’s multiple jumps.

You did not go to the east of the island : Saint André / Salazie / Sainte Anne.. And on the wild south : Manapany/ Lava Road / Saint Philippe.. But I know you had to choose
That’s true. We travel continuously and with kids it will never be the aim to do and see everything. That would be exhausting 😜🤙🏻 you try and choose new things, fun things for the kids etc. thanks for the tips though!

The Netherlands, where we are from, actually has more inhabitants per square meter. It’s not that small also right? 🤪 How do you feel about cities than, which are way smaller and sometimes have 20 million people. I don’t understand the term hellhole. Really not my experience 😎
If this restriction keeps uncultured people like you away from our island, that's fine. The last shark attack was in 2019, and it was the only one. The USA accounted for 52% of all shark attacks last year, while Australia had 22%. Reunion Island 0%. It is no longer as dangerous as it used to be.
@@WoutoftheWorld It saddens me to know that my island has a reputation as « shark land », while during last season, we broke records for cetacean and whale sightings… My island is not perfect and shark attacks are certainly a reality, it is part of nature and nature is part of the beauty of my island, guys don't worry there are lagoons where you could bathe peacefully, it is so good to stay in Reunion island. 🐋🌋🌴

Reunion is like France part of the EU. The EU rules apply so officially a certificate is needed to fly, just like in Europe.
