MAURITIUS vs. REUNION: 2 Paradise Islands in Africa, but WHICH IS BETTER?

- Welcome to TWO paradise islands in Africa! Far away in the Indian Ocean are the incredible Mascarene islands. We visit the two most famous ones, but which one is better for you? Mauritius has perfect beaches, cultural treasures, history and lush green mountain landscape. Reunion also has crazy white beaches, volcanic landscapes, waterfalls and cosy colonial towns.
Let’s see both Mauritius and La Réunion and all the top sights. We rent a car and drive to beaches, hiking spots and waterfalls. We visit the best snorkeling spots too and walk among the volcanos. Of course we brought the drone for perfect 4K footage.
Our journey through Africa is part of a one and a half year trip around the world. After the Middle East, Asia, Australia, North and South-America, the Caribbean and now Africa, this is the 27th destination. Wow those are. Beautiful places. Had the opportunity to visiy Mauritius and stayed at Sugar Beach in Flic n Flac and that place was like paradise on earth!
Mauritius according to articles I have read, Mauritius is a small and island country but one of the most developed countries in Africa.
Recently back from La Pirogue Hotel on West coast of Mauritius……my fourth visit to the island and hotel……beautiful island, but wow, in 17 years the changes are huge…..5 incredible shopping malls….a metro now as well, and clean, roads big improvement….amazing….now I have been to Rodrigues back in 2001, that island was amazing, very different from Mauritius…..now I am thinking, a trip to Reunion is a must…..sadly because of Brexit, even though I live in Jersey, not part of UK….well travel will be harder and more expensive…..still, we will visit….oh and maybe head back for a return to Seychelles, last visit was 1986…… great videos guys..cheers

Weer een mooie video! Wij zijn ook op Mauritius geweest en vonden het fantastisch. We hebben ook de Seychellen bezocht en konden daar wat minder aarden maar ook zeker de moeite waard. Dankzij jou video's gaan we nu ook zeker Réunion bezoeken! Veel reis plezier verder 👊🏻
Thanks! Vonden jullie de Seychellen mooier dan Mauritius? Wij wel denk ik. Seychellen zijn nog net wat minder toeristisch en wat meer Afrika. Ik vond het oerwoud op Praslin echt indrukwekkend. La Digue natuurlijk ook vrij uniek. Réunion is van alle eilanden wel de meest toegankelijke en je bent echt in Frankrijk. Qua natuur voelden we ons een beetje op Maui, Hawaii. Heel erg bedankt en veel reisplezier!

It’s one of my life goals to visit and possibly expat these islands, however I’m still doing research and gathering $$ to go . I’m interested in Reunion, but it’s so hard to connect with people there.
Réunion island is more diverse in terms of landscape. And the food is amazing ❤
