Great Video! I ordered a Mcleod steel flywheel (463408) and RXT 1200 (6932-07HD) clutch kit for my 2001 SVT Mustang Cobra and this video will be a great help when I tackle the install.
liked this video ,would like to see it closer up and being installed step by step on a mounted fly wheel .this way you can show the avarage joe the allignment tools and all . thanks
Nice product tour! This will be my next clutch when my older McLeod Single wears out........ It's been in there since 2006... Still holding and no sign of wearing out. Almost 6 years now. And actually, it's a 2000 Camaro LS1. It's a single disc clutch I bought as a package deal. What model is that? Kevlar/organic disc. -IIRC.
McLeodRacingClutches I recently put the RXT with the lightened steel flywheel in my 2012 mustang gt. You said to break it in for 500 street miles.. Can you elaborate a bit more? Like... Rpm range during this period etc??? Others have given their opinion, but I'd rather hear it straight from the source. Thank you
Thanks . Getting a McLeod clutch in my 14 gt500 . 👀 I’m actually eager to see the difference. Originally the pedal bite point was extremely high . I got use to it only for the clutch go fail in 4th gear on the 🛣.
Great video! I have a question: I just bought an RST Twin discs Clutch kit for my 07 Mustang 4.6 3V, making around 340 rwhp. If later I want to upgrade the engine's output, and if I also want to upgrade my clutch, can I just buy a set of RXT discs to replace the existing ones or I need to replace the entire kit?
@@McLeodRacingClutches thanks for the video and info. I got 2014 mustang gt with 2.9 Whipple supercharger.. less than 700whp. Do you recommend the RST or RXT clutch ? The car used for the regular street driving and cruising mostly with no racing but want to upgrade to clutch that will last me long. Thanks a lot.
@McLeodRacingClutches Outstanding, thank you! Do you still sell repair/replacement parts for it? Would any major name brand aluminum flywheel work with this?
Hi Fred, I am planning on coming to southern california soon late january or early february it is possible to meet and get an understanding of your Mcloud and manufacturing. I have a RST double disk I'm using with my Roush hammer motor. thanks.
I had a problem where my adaptor ring doesn’t fit the dowels on the stock c6 LS3 flywheel dowels. Has anyone ran into this problem? I have a gold ring adapter by the way

Is it normal to have vibration at 2000 rpm, I just install mine McLeod rst 800hp and flywheel and we getting a vibration at 2000rpm and a thinking noise any ideas
Ok, I got installed and at step twelve, when I run the straight edge across, about four fingers next to eachother are stil about a thousandths or two above the rear surface of the pressure plate. I took the plate nuts down to 35 like step eleven says, and the fingers were still high, so I took it to 40. Is this gonna be a big issue?
So you say the bottom goes towards the flywheel then you turn it around and say the sticker goes towards the flywheel side. You are contradicting yourself.. So which side goes towards the flywheel?
If you’re gonna buy anything McLeod you better have one of their Techs put in. Bought McLeod RST, Flywheel, and OEM style slave in a Roush RS3. Nothing but problems. Dealer installed …everything from noise, to chatter in gear, and now won’t go in 1st and reverse smoothly. Garbage.., I’ve wasted 4K on this crap
Thanks for this video . I am installing the rxt on a 496 with a Auto Gear 4 speed Muncie rock crusher. Can't wait to get it on the road.

If we send in the RST it is rebuildable? If so, what’s the cost and would you recommend also sending in the flywheel for balancing? Thanks

You’d actually need to send us your RST and we can upgrade it to a RXT.

We would recommend the RXT to give you some safety margin. Part number 6435825M if you are still using the factory splined MT-82 @@goofylevitates8853

Scott Herbert Hello! Please email us at info@mcleodracing.com Thanks!
What about the rattle sitting still with clutch peddle pushed in?
Discs rattling against the floater.
@ about 4:50 what does he say? "It has more cell"?
What is the torque specs for the bolts that hold down the Adapter Rings?
Its dependent on the part number of the clutch. Give us a call for the appropriate spec for your clutch.

Look at the notes section on our attributes for the 6912-07 .

Carlos renato Geromel 6912-07 is correct for the C6 Corvette, but you need to run a LS1/LS6 flywheel or our 460530 flywheel.

Great vid, however I've heard complaints of this clutch being noisy at certain RPM at cruse speed. Rattles.
@35057 The Kevlar/Organic Disc would be our 800 series disc.

Good enough for my 69 gto with 580 ft lbs torque

Chicago1 what he means is the "bottom" disc is the one that goes first meaning closest to flywheel then it still has a flywheel side.

Instructions says no locktite correct?
No Locktite.
@@McLeodRacingClutches even on bolts included that hold the entire clutch on? Ones that don't have any lock washers
Why do you use so Cheap of flywheel bolts they completely stripped with little pressure at all honestly
This video looks like it was filmed in the 80s lol.
Well I guess you're right. But at least it has all the info you need for our twin disc line!
And we made you comment :)
And it’s the noisiest clutch on the market as well.
