    This would be great as an elevated station over a track that runs on a level below a Lego city. Never liked the idea of trains running through a small city layout. I could see the centre line being a platform for two trains with stairs coming down.

    Absolutely stunning, that curved roof is very impressive. It does remind me of the refurbished stations here in the U.K. ; St Pancras international for instance. My only comment other than Lego need to license you is that I’d’ve put the tracks rotated through 90 degrees. Which station has tracks crossed that way by passengers?

      You're welcome. Quality is fine. As someone who grew up in the Netherlands (now in Canada) and has seen the various train stations there (including Amsterdam CS) I was very impressed when you first stuck the camera through one of the train entrances; it looked very realistic. Just beautiful. Tempted to copy brick by brick when my Lego city gets to that size. Just uploaded an updated to my city which I'm building with my 2 daughters.

    Great job of achieving the ornate exterior and appropriate interior details. The curved roof structure design is very smart and the drink/ snack carts were the right choice. All you need is a toilet! Congrats!

    • @SmallBrickCity
      @SmallBrickCity 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bevins Bricks personally, I would do an extension of 6 studs deep behind the ticket stand for a set of 2 or 3 toilets so it does it disrupt the open feel of your station and does not take up too much space.

    That is absolutely amazing, love the reliefs! I do have one suggestion, if it’s not too overpowering, put yellow 1x tiles along the edge of the track platforms to keep passengers from getting to close to the edge when trains are arriving. Amazing!!!

  • @trainerseebus2779
    @trainerseebus2779 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love this build! I do work in that industry, and my only tip would be less security to enter. Train stations are usually open. This is so the food shops can have business other than the trains. The conductor will either check tickets on the train (kick you off at next station if you don't have a ticket), or check your ticket as you board. That and at bigger stations there'll be gate agents to check that you have a ticket on the platform, so it's sort of a double check with them and the conductor.

    Everything about this MOC is just so impressive. The scale and grandeur of the building remind me of Union Station in Cincinnati or similar Art Deco Landmarks. Aside from the lofty roof and sense of grandeur inside the building, I really also like the decorative, train-themed wall mural that you made. Do you think you might make your own MOC train or locomotive at some point, to perfectly match this facility?

    Really beautiful build. Amazing detail and wow are you correct on the look of the roof. Just makes it look so intricate from a minifigs view. I love how alive the build feels with all the minifigs inside. If I could leave one suggestion maybe have a few more minifigs at the ticket counter and entering/exiting the station. That may cap off the active feeling of the station. I hate to even leave a suggestion on such a lovely moc. Hats off to you. Thanks for the tour!

    I love this. You did an excellent job. I've been wanting to do the curved track roof technique for a couple of years now but haven't gotten around to it. I just purchased the new Cargo Train and setup my entire train collection and tracks and it angers me to see how many curved pieces I have that are unusable for the track setup. I need to put them to other uses. Really love the stone etching of the trains on the interior, fantastic job with all the detail.

    Really Really BAG!!!! (Beautiful, Awesome and Great) I can spend many time just watching one detail, and your station has tons of them, the floor, windows, arches, textures, the steam engine and the caboose on the walls just amazing, the only thing I going to say against your video is for the porpoise of showing the station is I will remove all people inside, don’t get me wrong they look great but just distract me from the star, and your station is the real star deserves just for the pleasure to watch it when is empty!!!

  • @GuySmiley
    @GuySmiley 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Amazing work with this, the train tracks for the curved roof work really well, even when you look at it from the inside. It makes me wonder though, in real train stations, do people actually walk across the tracks to get to other trains? I would imagine it would be quite the liability if they did.

      In today’s world I think no one needs to cross the tracks like that in a station. But if you go back to the steam engine era I think it was quite common. And this station could be from that era, it just got a few modern touches.

    Awesome build - I think you did a fantastic job with the train and caboose detail on the walls.
    I am however curious why the platforms go across the station like that - if a train is loading up in bay one, no one can get passed it.
    Wouldn’t it make more sense for the platforms to go from the rear to the front?
    (Acknowledging it would then be an end of line station)
