Thank you so much! This is awesome! My kenyian friend from Bantu ancestry speaks the kikuyu to fast for me to keep up. This is perfect. I can't wait to surprise them when i learn this language! Again this BLACK American sister from NY thanks you🙏🏽💕
I am really grateful for this channel and your effort to help us learn kikuyu. I have question regarding 200 and 200,000. In the video, 200 is magana meerî and 200,000 is ngiri magana meeri. The meerî in 200 has the accent whereby in 200,000 has no accent. Is this meant to be like that? I noticed the same thing for ikûmi, 10 and the number 11-19, there is no accent in û
Thanks for this, I had to go back to check and indeed I have found that there is a spelling error. The meerî, igîrî should be the correct spelling and obviously should be pronounced as thus. This is when I started the channel and editing was proofing a difficult chore😅, kindly bear with me.
There is no word number called neter why come from meduneter.,also kĩkũyũ month if an year were not January they used to call them like ancient Egyptian calender why kĩkũyũ used mooncycle
Josh Fernandez ngiri magana kenda ma mîrongo kenda na kenda, magana kenda ma mîrongo kenda na kenda.( my take, though i will wait to hear from someone else who might shorten it further).
You're the best teacher

The h in mîrongo îthatû is missing
I find kikuyu language very simple to learn or is it that we're being tought by an expert 💪💪
I don’t claim to be an expert, only that I happen to have knowledge of the language 😅

It has been corrected in a comment somewhere in here.. good observation though.
