i applied through RNIP using RNIP letter. I'm extending work permit just in case. i had my medical exam and i passed but that was for the PR application. my checklist shows the same as yours but i don't have any document from the physician for medical. he submitted the results to IRCC directly and it shows I passed. so what would i upload in the upfront medical field

What if We have a job offer that was initially issued based on LMIA and the employer has also given the written letter of extension, WP still valid for two more months, do we need to give that letter as well in client info, or is it okay that we have already submitted in PR application?

CEC candidates whose permits expire this year got an Interim work permit authorization. My letter said I didn't have to do anything unless my address changed. can we reenter the country based on the old work permit and the letter that CEC candidates got in August?
Hey @Louie_chil7, as far as I know, the public policy announced earlier this year stated that CEC would issue new work permits to eligible PGWP holders. If your address was the same, I guess they will send you a new work permit with a new expiry date at the same address. However, I think you should wait for your new work permit to arrive in order to travel because I think the CEC letter would not serve as a travel document.

My contract ended a month back and now I am not working but waiting to apply for pr and then apply for bridging work permit to extend my status to apply for my new job. What should I fill in?
I guess most people just select option 1 to keep it simple (apply for a work permit with the same employer) but as you have left your current job already, I guess it should be fine to select option 2 and 3. Please note that you cannot select option 3 on its own (restore my status as a worker) as it would generate error and ask you to select atleast one of the work permit options.
Thankyou for sharing this. My work permit is set to expire on 31st of March 2023. I have received my ITA and submitted all documents. The only thing I am concerned about is, my employer is asking me if I have applied for extension, though I have received a confirmation letter yesterday regarding BOWP application but did not receive the extension letter(BOWP applied on 1st March 2023). Does the extension letter come with a validity date and what if we do not get a response post that date ?

its not the same @kabir Singh, you can't get BOWP just by dropping your file in the pool. You should have received the ITA first and submitted your complete PR application (along with fees). Only then you can apply for a BOWP

My current work permit has expired on 16th March 2023 and i am on implied status currently as the closed work permit extension has already been filed for me. I have got the AOR to be eligible for BOWP. My question is while filing the application its asking me for restoration fees of 200$ since my work permit has expired but i don't get how to avoid that fees while filing BOWP since i am on implied status? You enter 'yes' only if your wife is the principal applicant for the PR application. In your case, you are the principal applicant and hence need to enter 'no'. Read this in some online groups, and I'm applying this way right now. Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

I think the same or different employer thing doesnot apply to you as long as you previously had an open work permit because you are free to switch jobs/employers on the open work permit. So, just choose option 1 " apply with the same employer" .
I have couple of queries. 1) I have passport renewed from Canada itself, on passport place of issue printed as Toronto. So in that document for the country/ territory of issue, should I select Canada or India ? 2) I have my work permit issued using my old passport and my old passport number is printed on it. Now I got my new passport and need to apply for BOWP, what passport number should I mention ? and any issue in this ??
1. For your first query, the country of issue is still "India" because its an indian passport issued by Govt. of India even though you got a renewed passport from an indian embassy here in canada. 2. For second question, I also had my passport renewed and used my new passport details while doing the BOWP application. Your renewed passport has your old passport details as well ( refer to the last page of your renewed passport), so there should be no issues in my opinion with your application. Based on this info, the visa officer should be able to understand that both passports belong to you.

@@paramveersingh9849 I applied on Nov 11 and received the letter on Nov 13, so exactly after 2 days. You will get it too, don't worry. Give it a day or 2. And you should have the "submission confirmation" already in your account, so I guess that's also a valid proof that you tried to restore your status.
Yes, if you have received the ITA and you have completed & submitted all the necessary documents and fees for your PR application, you can apply for BOWP once you get the AOR letter.

hey, I think she should be eligible based on the info you are providing. If you have received the ITA and submitted your documents already, you should have received an AOR letter in your ircc account. On that letter, they do mention about your eligibility of getting a BOWP. There should be a small paragraph about it on that letter.
I know the difference very well my friend. For most Indians (specially north Indians , I am not sure how it works in the south), there is no surname/last name on their passports. All they have is a given name. So, whenever there is a "family name" field (marked with a star which means it is a necessary field to fill in) on one of these IRCC forms, all you have to do is enter your given name into the family name field and leave the given name field blank. You can refer to this link as well from the IRCC website: www.cic.gc.ca/English/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=014&top=4

You can use it is valid for 5 years

I think you are good, there's is no need for an new one. Just include a proof of medical from your previous one.

yes, I did receive the letter. Sometimes, there is a lag in the process. Keep an eye on your ircc account, you will get it soon hopefully.

Yes, if you have received the ITA and you have completed & submitted all the necessary documents and fees for your PR application, you can apply for BOWP once you get the AOR letter.

hey, I think she should be eligible based on the info you are providing. If you have received the ITA and submitted your documents already, you should have received an AOR letter in your ircc account. On that letter, they do mention about your eligibility of getting a BOWP. There should be a small paragraph about it on that letter.

I know the difference very well my friend. For most Indians (specially north Indians , I am not sure how it works in the south), there is no surname/last name on their passports. All they have is a given name. So, whenever there is a "family name" field (marked with a star which means it is a necessary field to fill in) on one of these IRCC forms, all you have to do is enter your given name into the family name field and leave the given name field blank.
