Disasters can strike at any moment, but being prepared can make all the difference. Share this video with others so they can start now and make sure they're good BEFORE disaster strikes. Stay safe, and stay prepared guys!

Super important to make sure to stay connected. Commuication is important for prepping, great info!

I'm old school ,how about racing pigeons, you own and tend to a pair born at a family coup, they do the opposite, you each have up to 2 communications . 🐦

Ha! That actually wouldn't be a bad idea to at least learn. I'd love to learn how this works (like I understand the concept but have never seen it in action). Stay safe!

Good, simple tips! Looking to get and train on the baofeng, need some HAM training too.

Do it! It's pretty simple and will help long term!

I'm surprised you don't mention Meshtastic and other off-grid messaging technologies. Most of the comm channels you mention (besides HAM) require working infrastructure.

Interesting, something to look into! I'll see what I can research 😊

Firechat is actually discontinued, because of that I'd recommend taking a look at SimpleXChat from my other video.

HAM radio was the only thing that worked after huricane Maria, it was the only way to get word out...this is on my goal list, but not really a priority because I didn't really had no need to get any emergency messages out...but will get done in the future.

Same here, I may look into a baofeng and do some research on how to use it properly for the time being
