well waweweewa that was so close... only about 100km from where I currently reside. Interesting how in such a relative closeup the awesomeness of it all has a mildly intimidating quality also - - - :D another great video though!... How can I make sure I am not missing sth. like this next time? BTW we have a pretty cool rink in Schwenningen, they put on the disco lights in the evening session makes dreaming the dream and living the dream of ice skating even more real and dreamy at the same time :D
Sorry you missed this one. It is ran every year around the 1st of December (or whenever the nearest weekend is for that). You can check with Ice Freestyle Polarion for specific details. Too bad we didn't get to see you there, hopefully the next coming years or maybe see your rink sometime 😁👍
@@GlobalIce I also find it interesting that there are all these different approaches to the skating topic :) My personal goal is to find a new unity between body dynamics and music - skating allows these perfectly detailed flow states I just can*t get enough of, it's a little like a drug - but so wonderful to be addicted to something that is so incredibly good for me both on a physical and mental level. On the other hand freestyle has extreme edges sometimes, e.g. where people drop themselves on the hard ice surface from 2.4m meters height... I guess to everybody their cup of tea :) I really do appreciate the meetup idea. There are many people on the ice often, but they tend to skate past each other very quickly and are focused on not making any dangerous mistakes themselves - it does end up taking a while to get to know the regulars. It's fantastic to break through the isolation by looking at shared passions together, and e.g. your freestyle trick chart is a pretty great collection of vocabularies for shared exploration. So thanks again - and given that the thing shows no sign of letting go of me, I'm curious to find out when I will see you skate IRL.
@@-E42- Well said, it is so amazing the amount of different styles and moves created in freestyle. I have been doing this now for 12 years and at times you think you know all you can at skating and then these meetups open your mind to a whole new style, like New Blade or even just some skaters unique moves. It really is an addiction of flow and harmony with the music, and the great thing is that everyone has a unique flow, whether aggressive style, smooth, or even the high jumps and acrobatics. Its so amazing and these events we all share the same love for the movement, so as you put we may not have met eachother yet but we all already speak the same language. Thank you and I am so happy this chart is helpful in organizing and connecting our movements, as I learn more it may need to be updated but I feel its a good foundation.
I have recently experimented with making small vids myself, but I need to change the camera I am using I think (old GP Hero 4) - in the evening session the image just gets much too grainy. I would be very curious to hear what cams you are using (probably differnet depending on the occasion ?)
@@-E42- Actually, I only use 1 camera and its a GoPro lol. I use a Hero 11 which is small and compact, although I like filming with dslr cameras and the quality, I like skating more and I want something I can just put in my pocket and skate with. I would recommend upgrading to a GoPro with the hypersmooth technology as it makes a big difference (Think the 1st one with it is the Hero 8). Only issue is GoPro still has problems with low light and that hasn't changed, I use a stabilizer when its dark as hypersmooth doesn't work in low light either. I hope this helps and awesome journey on making films and look forward to seeing them.

Как жаль, что в России такого нет(((
@hellogufgg2435 Я очень надеюсь, что однажды вы проведете там такие мероприятия
