RSR just had a America vs Japan drift event and the Americans killed the Japanese drivers ! Dk ,Orido , Dai , all the japs lost just goes to show who is running drifting ATM !
That is the THIRD Quaife sequential transmission failure i have seen in youtube in the last two months : 1 mike borroughs (stanceworks at wtac), 2. Kyle and boosted boys (world cup) and now spoon. I think quaife needs to re engineer their stuff.
I was thinking the same thing when you mentioned the transmission is Quaife. Kind of a bad look to have two pretty high profile failures. @@THECHRONICLES
@@anthonyfa18 it’s not, the boost leak came from a collision earlier which caused damage to the intercooler during the race which ultimately caused the turbo to fail.
Yeah, even if it were t for regulations, I think it would have just been too difficult just to wheel an air tank in and out of the pit. They have pretty strict rules in regards to how many people can be in the pit area during a stop, specific safety rules, etc
@@THECHRONICLES Makes sense, here some raceteams have fully quick refuel systems with plastic cans, but in some races they are only allowed to use metal ones... So refueling takes longer with a "temporary" system.. They just leave the quick refuel stuff in the trucks. And use regular jerrycans..
Or old Toyotas for that matter. I have a rare 2005 Toyota mr2 manual with a k24 Honda motor, and trans. She’s scary, but a blast to drive. Great content.
@@vltruan Not many engines are designed to run at redline for 25 Hrs. Think the 2ZZGe (Celica XRS) The K24 in your mr2 was ran for 300K miles in the Mid-Ohio driving school cars with zero engine failures ( TSX)
bro why you fall asleep? 11th hr and you had no idea what's going. oil in the intercooler turbo failed change out the turbo and send it. you say your stressed out get out bro. m
Tarzan, Dai, and Tsuchiya. Man what a team.

They’re not getting great reviews in the Evo world either. Plagued with issues for those that fit.
Yasu folding the motocompacto is the best segment ever.
lol yes I think so too
Moto compo not motocompacto ! If that was the case itd be squished ! Lol
@@shannacollins4741 that is what the new ones are called man
One of my fav. vlogs on your channel so far. Thank you for capturing them. 😊

Love that not only do they stand behind what the sell but there out there pushing it to the max that’s what I call real r&d
So unlucky this year !
Also the new spoon boss has really fast hands, a really good mechanic !
What a team man!! Great work together. That was a very grueling 25 hours.
Great video! So much presence! Like part of Spoon team!

As keiichi pitted in he nearly took out the dude in the black shirt, yo chill DK 😂
I'm surprised nobody else caught that lol
That JZX in the beginning is so nice
Front bumper on the white Varis 86 looks almost exactly like Streethunters new 86 front bumper on their widebody kit !
Both kits just follow the factory body lines of the GR86
Nice to see the Spoon FL5 in action 👌
The 11:01 PM update had me literally doing the Meme you added…😂😂😂
I’m still confused 😐
Just realized that was Sarah and Hana next to the GR86, pretty cool
10:52 that brake reservoir sock is dope

Didn’t the Quaife trans fail in Mike Burroughs car too? Weird.
Weird right….. 🤔

Them missing qualifying had em start at the back right? Hell of a run, if not for missing quali def a podium
Yeah they definitely had to start in the back because of the transmission issue.
I wonder how high Yasu was trying to get to fold that H bike😂
😢. Glad to see the Drift King. Happy thankgiving from my family to your 🎉. Love from California.
In this episode: How many guys are needed to fold a Motocompo?
18:01 where can I cop one of them crane crewnecks?
that FL5 looks awesome in spoon livery. are they on the 18in wheels or 17s?
18s
25:45 would make for a sick photo
😮😮😮 amazing
whose champion in this category?
Hey is it running a stock fl5 turbo or the spoon upgrade turbo spoon made for the fk8???
Stock turbo
I wonder if the new Turbo on the FL5 is less reliable then the fk8 🤔
@@anthonyfa18 it’s not, the boost leak came from a collision earlier which caused damage to the intercooler during the race which ultimately caused the turbo to fail.
The turbos are not exactly the same the FL5 use a smaller, cold side and have a different propeller compared to the fk8 version
@@anthonyfa18 you're right, I got confused. Regardless, the turbo failed due to an external issue.
This is why NA is the best ifykyk
Why didn't they use the airjacks in the pits actually? Not allowed for regulations or?

29:04 what was causing the spark ?
Hot pads?
Hot pads and tire debris
