That's it. So many people are afraid of taking that leap. Its a euphoric feeling, a moment of clarity. I learned so much about myself. Its an intense pressure to face getting out of the "comfort zone". Pass or fail, you are a better person for the struggle. Playing it Safe can hold so many people back.
To Tim and everyone in the comment section, THANK YOU! I've learned so much from watching your videos and reading comments. Im truly inspired and hopeful by you all... much respect everyone.. I pray we all find what we're searching for.. inner peace&purpose
I walked out in a job during lunch before, I felt so alive lol It’s like mentally you feel so much better not having to worry about a damn job that only views you as a working body.
I agree I think it's best to plan ahead before you quit how you are going to replace your income. If you have enough money saved to cover your expenses and Bill's for at least six months and have some jobs lined up I would let go of the toxic waste job but give notice so you get good references
Literally the only good thing about the current system. You can quit at anytime and you don’t owe anyone your labor. You also aren’t required to rent from anybody.
I was at a toxic work environment for years. Evernight after work I had to drink. I left my job and now I'm broke but I'm sober as a bird!! It was not worth killing myself for.
@@sononi4798 it's sad but true. A toxic/stressful work environment will do that. I'm broke but it could be way worse, I was being bullied at work, if I stayed I would have been arrested by now cause I was reaching a breaking point.
This resonates with me so highly! I have been increasingly questioning why the majority of humanity accepts a system built on spending the majority of their time in places where they are miserable, counting down the clock like a prison sentence.

If you have a long commute 8. You don't feel appreciated 9. You are doing some side hustle 10. You know it's time to go
I left a job 6 years ago that was the most toxic soul sucking experience of my life so far! I prob make 25% of my previous pay, but I’m 1000% happier and more fulfilled! Worth it!
This morning running to the train station to get to a job that is literally killing me. I stumbled down a couple of stairs and regained my footing before hitting the ground. After my adrenaline levels came down I noticed the train was already at the station but not moving. I learned that a woman was struck by an earlier train and killed. After waiting for almost an hour for the trains to start running again I realized I could have been that woman. She too was probably running to get to work. Don't get me wrong. I totally understand that no one is coming to rescue anyone of us as we try to find our way in life but at what cost. My prayers go out to this woman an her family. Thanks for giving me this platform to share this unfortunate but I opening event. Carpe Diem
Tim, I've felt this way for 25 yrs. I did all the things that I was supposed to do (the degrees, the jobs, chase money, etc) and I was miserable. I am almost 50 now and I feel like the veil has been lifted from my eyes. I now see that we all have been programmed from birth to become debt slaves and stay on the hamster wheel so that the elite who basically own everything can profit while we toil away in vain. After going from job to job to job, I realized it's all the same shit everywhere (more or less). I finally hopped off and now doing gig work. Now I am trying to figure out how to create my own income because gig work is also a grind but for now, I see it as a transition phase that has taught me to let go of the biweekly paycheck mentality so for that, I am grateful. You continue to inspire me. Hope to meet you someday.
Parents are also responsible for letting us be conditioned like that. They likely saw through the crap and still let us be taught and misled by govt/elite sponsored school. The scam goes way deeper than this though(b a n ks).
@@michaelsmith2833 exactly. People think all business owners are just sitting back, chilling. You’ll know this is not true, especially if you’ve run your own business. Some employees would rather be an employee, show up, clock on, clock off, than take on the risks and amount of responsibilities business owners had to take to have their own business.
I'm 54. Savings is minimal. Once I reach my weightoss goals I'll be 56. Hope there will be opportunity for higher income then as I may have a wider range of employment. My job is boring as hell.
I think of this every day man. Morning standing up.. fuck. Again going the whole fucking day there. Working working working.. then after 6 days of work one day free. Driving home thinking: fuck.. in 2 days i have to work again. Cant recover from work because i think every time of it because it fucks me so much up. Youre so right man. The dread in the morning is the pure hell on earth. It really is.
I quit 4 weeks ago and I had no idea that many were quitting. I think it’s because the work structure in general is too much these jobs are taxing on ones mental and well being
I agree. Society has become way too demanding. Everyone wants things right now. That's why most of us work longer hours, holidays and weekends now. I wish people would see that it's not worth it. I would be willing to sacrifice convenience to have more time to spend with people I love, and do things that make me happy.
I worked for a company for exactly 15 years and they fired me. I was hired 12/20/04 and got let go on 12/20/19. During the exit interview and after driving out of that parking lot for the last time was one of the most releiving and euphoric feelings I've ever felt. I woke up every morning feeling that dread. I even dreaded Fridays because the weekend would fly by so quickly!! I lived on unemployment in 2020 until it ran out and I had to find something. I ended up finding a job at a restaurant and have been there now a year and a half. I make 5 dollars less an hour, but I feel so much happier than when I was at that call center for 15 years!! It's not about the money, it's about mental health!!
Omg that sounds just like me I totally feel the same way I know the weekends gonna fly by and Sundays are the worst cause I know Mondays gonna come and I dread every second of it. But I have a family relying on me so I feel stuck cause I need to make a certain amount of money to pay my bills and don’t know what to do but I’ve been having extreme anxiety and panic attacks everyday it’s no way to live
3 weeks ago I had started a house cleaning job with a company. By the second week I was cleaning houses by myself with no time for lunch in between. My body was BEAT, management brushed off any concerns I had, I was tired of scrubbing pee pee toilets. Two weeks in I quit that mf. The week after I finally started gig work with DoorDash and UberEats. Best decision I've made. I make more money in less time, less stress, do what I want when I want and still have energy to come home and enjoy myself.
The industrial machine is unnecessarily high maintenance and needs people to do slave jobs to keep it functioning all the way from mowing lawns to factory work. Meanwhile the tribal people are chilling with their families after a good hunt
@@josecat436 sooo true! Almost every study shows that tribal people are happier by every metric. This is why civilizations had to destroy tribal peoples.
Is been about 1 month since I followed your advice and it's the best decision I've made in a long time. I currently have two side hustles working from home as an independent contractor and a third hustle in the works...all of which I enjoy doing. Now with the free time I have left I've been working on different projects related to my personal hobbies (crochet, and sewing)😊. No regrets here!
I literally just quit my job of 7 years about 2 weeks ago. Everything you’ve said Ive experienced or been through. Worked there through the majority of my 20s. But I’ve felt like it’s held me down for so years as well. No growth ladder to make a career with. I feel so much better and relieved since I left. I’ll be 30 in two weeks. It’s time to upgrade to the next level of greatness. Great message Tim. Been doing my side hustle since I left and making more. New Sub.
Jeff getting to your 29th and 30th birthday is an important milestone if you have not already gotten out of all debt work your hardest to get rid of every freaking piece of debt that you have and if you have not already started putting away for a Roth IRA do it immediately as soon as you can. I wish looking back that I started that when I turned 30 and I would have had so much more money than I do now- I'm 55 right now. Right now 10 years may seem like a long time but when you put that money away in as little as 10 years and see how it accumulated you be like shit I wish I had done this sooner everyone I talk to always says that.
got good news for you bro. I don't miss my 20's because I was broke all the time. being 30 is the best thing ever, no matter what you will always have money in your pocket and girls around you all the time. For some reason girls like 30 year olds because they are more stable and financially ok lmao.
I'm 46 live in NC, I had quit my job back in 2017 and it was one of the best things I've done in life. At first it was scary because my ego and what I was used to was shaken for about a couple of weeks, but my soul knew I did the right thing, and God/ the Universe was telling me not to worry. I now work as an independent contractor for 3 gig companies whenever I feel like it. I can now go camping whenever I want to :)
@@kismetdoom5438 going by your title about probably quitting, A ref, was the least of your future life and the 10 reasons to quit a job, I learn this lesson in the 70's, with ATT , went into work and the boss call 10 of us in the office and basically said , turn in your tools and have a good life, Privately owned companies are worst. Worked at a nuke and gave 30sec notice, Years later the same boss called me as they need my Qualifications, and said he was sorry for having screwed me over , which was the reason I quit, I also in todays world past employers can only give limited amount of info on you, so they don't get sued
Your reputation will follow you whereever you go. Leave your current job in good standing. Don't burn any bridges you don't have to. Its your future that is at stake.
America is overworked. Look at the vacation time Europeans get. I hated the fact that I was in a job that wanted to preplan time off months on advance while only getting a top out of 2 weeks.....So I saved up a lot of money, motivated that a change was imminent. Quit my job and decided to get my CDL A license and go on a journey as an OTR truck driver. Best decision I ever made, flexible time off, making more money that my previous job of 15 years and I actually like what I do.

Young man, I retired last year after 51 years of working, your video is spot on, I'm so happy now doing NOTHING, collecting my military retirement and social security and moving to the Dominican republic within the next few months !
Usually the issue isn’t the job. I have found that low quality middle management is the issue particularly under skilled team leaders who micro manage staff. Companies work far better when staff are empowered to do the work without constant hassle from jobsworths with no management or people skills that’s why often small companies and business have a happier work force.
I was in a very technical field where middle managers were the people who had done the technical job longest. No people skills or emotional intelligence required, just ego, ambition, and commitment to keep doing things the way they have always been done (don't question upper management, just be a clone). Guess what, engineers generally make terrible managers, and they only get feedback from other terrible managers! It's a preposterous bubble.
It is not an accident. The big bosses make the middle managers act like that. This is ultimately a spiritual war. They deliberately want to keep humanity in misery.
So I actually quit a job of 8 years with my last day having been July 18th. Before I quit I was terrified that I would wake up the morning after my last day and realize that I had made a mistake. Worse I was afraid that the identity I had for myself as a successful manager would be no more and that I would no longer know how I fit into the world- as strange as that sounds. In actuality quitting was one of the most liberating and life affirming things I have ever done. I have not looked back and wished I had stayed- not even for a second, and I say that with no other job lined up. Now I work everyday on my own business and know that if I ever need to make ends meet for awhile I can always do Doordash or something similar and retain the freedom I have just won for myself. Life is too short to be miserable everyday. I wish I had only known sooner how close true joy and liberation was this whole time.
I quit my job around a month ago. After working there for two years, and the change of management I was ready to go. They where forcing everyone to have the vaccine or take a pay cut, (in my state we already only get paid 4 dollars above minimum wage). I kept getting a feeling in my chest that I didn't belong there and it was time to move on. Best choice I made out of my 20 years of my life.
Salute to you bro. Real talk. We need more stories like these shared because many people feel alone in this. Nothing is worth your soul. Your freewill is your freewill. It’s going to get bad out here but knowing people are making the right decisions is inspiring. Peace and blissings to you and yours.
I’m putting my two week in after my vacation next week. I have dozens of reasons why. Here’s some of them: 1. I am mentally, physically and spiritually DRAAAAAIIINED. I’d rather deal with the flu. 2. Deteriorating mental and physical health 3. No opportunity to grow without playing politics or kissing the mayors rear (no thanks) 4. I don’t feel challenged 5. I’m mentally checked out already and just going through the motions 6. I feel like I’m in a matrix and a pawn of the organization, making them money and building THEIR reputation while getting only $50k 7. Forced to work during natural disasters even if my home has issues I need to address and not be at work 8. They don’t appreciate me. Never say Good Job but the second a complaint comes in, I’m in the office. 9. Mandatory overtime work and for my type of job it’s VERY difficult. 8hrs in high stress is bad enough but 16hrs and only sleep for 5 hrs before doing another 8hrs or even 16? No way 10. Forced to live near work. 11. Can’t focus on my side hustles or business. I can’t do anything after work cuz I’m EXHAUSTED to the bone!!! 12. My mood is affected big time. I snap and get irritated easily even though I’m not usually like this but I’m pushed past my limits. 13. I dread waking up in the morning 14. I count days down to weekend 15. Shift work, rotating shifts between morning, afternoon, overnight shifts constantly. It’s hard on you. I can keep going but man. Hope y’all catch my drift.
I'm number 12.... I hate my latest job..... I work with this old guy and he's the meanest .... I come home arguing with my mom .. I work in a grocery store ... there's no need for 2 janitors... one works and one doesn't... I brought this up to one of my bosses and they don't care.... I may not be there much longer
My job has me going back August 16th into the office having been working from home for a year now. Can't wait to get back to being micromanaged and having meaningless convos with people. I'll figure out a way to bounce but I gotta be smart about it since I got debt -_-'

I resonate with almost all of these, I finally have another offer, and I'm about to quit soon. I'm already planning on how and when I'm quitting my next job. I just want to go move out into the woods some where and live in a way that makes me less dependent on money, just so I don't have to spend all my time in a padded box.
Quit my job of 15 years since Feb 2021. Best decision I could have made for myself. Only wish I had done it earlier. Around 2017, it just became a miserable place to work under weak leadership. Money was great but that was it. I do work now, but it's a different field and I have so much flexibility. When you take control of your own life besides having things forced onto you, it makes a tremendous difference, because YOU made the decision, not anyone else. The peace and happiness that I have now is unrelenting 😃
8 out of 10 on this list for me. I wanted to go but didn't want to leave the security. Then the Universe help me make my decision. The Pandemic started and they told the unvaxxed we weren't allowed to work. Problem solved. Haven't felt this good in a long time!
Your videos really helped me getting through the dark part of my life. In my 20’s I was studying, so I could get a better job, and make a lot of money. When you get to your 30’s, 40’s and 50’s you realize that you’re running the same rat race. I’ve found that out during my late 30’s.
Hi Tim, good video with good points. The thing is this vid mostly only applies to single people with no spouse & kids. I can't imagine someone with three kids & a mortgage just quitting their job because it "sucks." I'm currently 34 and I've never been married and have zero kids. So, for me, it's easy to quit or get terminated from a job. Anyway, good luck out there people and just keep your head up!
Exactly im almost 37 not married no kids and it feels good knowing you can just float from job to job and take chances...cant imagine ppl with families doing this.
I think it's more of a mindset. Obviously you can't drag your children around the country, but you also don't have to have the mindset that this is the only job you're capable of having. Especially in a time like we are in right now.
Same here man! I’ll be down low , hit a Tim video and my mind seems to clear up. I got a job offer at Y @ the Rockies today. Will be my first seasonal /travel job. All thanks to this mans content and opening my eyes
TIMMMM!!!! I quit my job back in February for 9 of those 10 reasons!!!! Thank you for your amazing theatrics in these videos! Tell it and tell it some more. I was there for 5 years. When I quit I did not even have another job, it was time to go and when I told my Dr she said she was so happy I had finally quit, my health was definitely suffering. Thanks again Timothy, keep the videos coming, love them!
I was very unhappy in my job...but was paid very well. I wanted to quit. I thought, "Wherever you go, THERE YOU ARE." I decided to EARN my way out of the job and that FIRST I needed an attitude check. I was bringing my bad attitude into the job. I decided, every day, and maybe every hour to do something, anything, to bring something POSITIVE into the day and into a co-workers or customer/clients life ... a smile, a supportive comment, go out of my way to help someone get something done, try to do something to do my job a little better. Ha, it worked. It is like a marriage or anything ... sometimes it is YOU/ME that is a drag on your/my life and relationships ... and NOT the OTHER guy. Anyway, stayed happily another ten years and retired. This wouldn't work in all situations I understand but it's worth considering. A job isn't designed to be a loving parent and to expect to be coddled and indulged is a little silly. I also worked in a job I should have LOVED but the boss was a creepy sociopath and I did quit ... an attitude change would have done nothing to fix anything. Ok, I will shut up now.
Dudeeeee!!! This video is straight fire!!! I just put my 30day notice today and I’m really close with my boss and I’m a big part of the company (small part owner and Manager) and he didn’t take it well. But man ive been hospitalized twice the last two years from almost stroking out.. working 12 hour days 6 days a week… I gained 80lbs since covid it’s been rough! All my old crew quit and the new staff is not picking up the slack… so in March Im taking the whole month off to drive across the US to just get my mental Health back!!! Just gonna explore and do literally what ever I want.. then stay in Texas for a couple weeks with a cousin to try to set up shop. I currently love in california and been at my company for 7yrs!! Truly am great full for the opportunity my boss gave me but It’s My time to shine somewhere else! Anyone who’s reading this PLEASE! Just do it, if I fail and things don’t work out… then i Can Just work hard and rebuild again… But I’ll never wanna grow old and say damn I wish I would have. Good luck to you all finding your happiness and I pray you do! Love you all God bless
I was loyal, respectful, honest, and went above and beyond, even going into places were riots were going down and places shut down due to the pandemic. I risked my life for them and my country, and they fired me for there mistake.
Wow! I quit my job just before this great resignation thing kicked off and every once in a while I think 'did I make the right choice?' Well, after watching this and realizing all of the reasons hit home and were true (except for the side hustle part). I have been working for Amazon now for 7 months. The company has done nothing but confuse and abuse me. . .it's called chaotic control. I love your tutorials. . . You are motivating me to get the hell out there. Working for Amazon sucks. I can't even go to the bathroom without feeling guilty.
You're joking right? Amazon is the best job there is. Been there 9 months. Easiest work there is. All I do is prepare packages for the said drivers. I take bathroon breaks constantly & nobody says anything.
First, get out of debt. Stay out of debt. Loans and mortgages are barriers. That was my mistake. Financial obligations kept me tied down to work that was soul-killing. My American dream became a nightmare. It eventually reached a breaking point, but I had a side hustle that kept me afloat until I was able to earn income in a field that was a much better fit and enjoyable.

Tim is pretty creative with the settings/backdrops - makes the videos even more interesting. The reasons he states apply to most every job there is, so it's tough to find something that's actually going to be better. If you have the cash flow and/or capital, self-employment is the way to go, plus everything you do is yours/your own intellectual property.
I used to think it was impossible . Gigs , paying off debt , cutting expenses , and travel / seasonal work which I’m starting this month. It’s way more freeing knowing a job isn’t forever , and u get to work somewhere cool. Keeps life Intersting . I’m never going back to a 9-5 ball and chain’
Enjoyed this video - and did just that a few years back - the sense of freedom is amazing - I went from corporate world to self employment. Keep up the great work.
Dude, literally ALL 10 REASONS apply to me currently. I've decided to quit my current company but I like the industry I'm in so I'm in the planning stages of starting my own company. I gotta be smart though and hang in there for a few more months at my job while I transition behind the scenes. I think the notion of impulsive quitting can also lead to more stress as in not finding a new job or having money to pay bills.
recently I was lucky enough to get laid off from a Toxic job environment with bad managment and have to deal with lunatics that were affecting my mental health not to mention I was working too much.
I like your vids I'm 42 quit my job in 2018. I work for 1 lady delivering groceries twice a month and I make more money than I did when I worked full time because I wasted it all on things I thought I needed to have. Now I only buy what I need to survive and it's the most free 3 years I've ever had in my life.☺️
You are funny and straight on point! You just made my day. I'm feeling really under value at my current job that I have been a "temporary employee" for a year already with no benefits, same salary. You just got a new subscriber :)
But had you not had that corporate Job to pay for that travel, you wouldn't have the funds to doit. im a nobody, barely getting by, i have all the time in the world to go places but after rent/food not much left over to do that. im assuming you make around 100k an live modestly, saving 80. if you did the corporate world for ten years, you have 800k, which is plenty to travel the world for 2 maybe 3 decades. but at min wage 1200-1k for bills..its 200 left over. 200x12 =2400x10= 24k, and in those ten years you buy some nice things to make life worth while, you might have 10k saved up after all that from the 24k. and 10k is no where near travelling the world, maybe just One place.
@@ssj3vegett0 Mostly correct. Wife and I both have high paying jobs, lived for years as though we worked at Burger King. great video! I said yes to every point. But I would never quit my job! .........................................................Last week, after 12 years, they video called me and let me go! I was so exhausted and done. I have no idea what's next but right now I feel so relieved and so grateful for the break. It was time to go. Maybe if you want to leave ask the Universe for a severance package or to find you something better before you quit or leave. If you want to quit, quit smart or just be bold and ask/tell the company what you want first, you never know what happens. Good luck everyone and know/believe things can work out for you!
As one who worked for many years in an industry where periodic layoffs were a way of life, I can say without equivocation that NOBODY is immune from being fired or laid off, no matter how much you "know what you're doing." The company goes bankrupt, you're out. The company loses a big contract you were part of, and suddenly you're surplus, you're out. You run afoul of some SJW a*hole, you're out. You get a new boss who just doesn't like you for whatever reason, you're out. You get past 55 and they need a slot for the boss' nephew who's half your age, you're out. The reasons are legion. And any corporate drone who thinks he/she is indispensable is playing with himself/herself. This isn't the 1950s anymore where you could stay at the same job for 30 or 40 years and retire comfortably with a decent pension. Now it's more like, change jobs every 3 or 4 years and hope your Social Security and 401K can cover your early retirement.
It's not just the Millennials. Us GenX kids are doing it to. It's like employees aren't getting it. When the employer is lame and the work is lame and they are set in old ways of doing things, it's time for a reset. I'm tried of these people being almost not caring, sterile and numb about their employees. I moved to a new job because of this. Us people / families that make good financial decisions and put money back have choices and that's the way it is. These employers need to wake up and see they are not in control of people lives like they want to be and the way they where for the past 100 years. It's over. "The age of controlling companies is over, the time of the people has come." Good company's / people already know this and teat their people accordingly.
It was so hard quitting a job I hated. I literally had to go buy some rum to make it through the day. You will not find beer or any kind of alcohol in my home. But from Jan. to July I went through bottles. Worst of all they did not pay enough to live on.
Tell me about it I hate a 9-5 and I hate a yes ma’am and yes sir, I am no puppet. My brothers, go out there and find your purpose and don’t waste your time on useless jobs just because of the pay.Focus more whether your happy in life is all that matters.
I quit my nursing job. I’m 59 and I feel happy. It’s been six months now. I was dreading work. I had an hour commute each way. Now I commute 10 minutes and I guide horse trips in the mountains. I worked as a nurse for 30 years. I took a 40.00 an hour pay cut and it was worth it.
Tim I love this! It came at the right time! I don’t have the problems many have, in that, I DO NOT HATE MY JOB! I actually enjoy it! I work with dogs. More specifically I take dogs on hikes…..not dog walks, but hikes. We hike them on different trails in Georgia and by 1pm my day is done (day typically starts around 7:30am) the pay is great and it’s only a Mon-Fri position. I live in Atlanta and rent prices are going sky high! I’m 33 yrs old, no spouse or children and I want more adventure in my life! For crying out loud I have a passport I have yet to use! Just feel like I’ve been playing life “SAFE” and I’m changing that right now! I have a friend that owns a ranch in New Mexico. She flips vans for a profit, has her own garden and has an amazing plethora of businesses. So all the van lifers you see with awesome aesthetically pleasing vans on TH-cam, my friend creates vans like that, and flips them into van homes for a profit. I’m going to her ranch to live RENT FREE for at least six months! She also hosts yoga and spiritual retreats in Colorado, Peru and Montana that I get to tag along on as well! I’m already a minimalist and can literally pack up my car within one trip (outside of selling my bed and couch on offer up) I’m just going for it. As much as I love and enjoy my job, I want adventure and I have been feeling a tug on my spirit for months to just go and live my life on my terms!!! So as much as I love and enjoy my job, I’m doing what works best for me in this season of my life! Peace and Love to any of you leaving a job you hate! If I can leave a job I love, surely you can leave one you hate! Blessings to you all!
That's what I did before covid 19 hit, I quit my full time job! within one month of working there I knew I wasn't going to stay for very long. I worked 54 hours 7 days week I had very little sleep I had to deal with bad customers, a lot of people I worked with were low lives with no goals or dreams everybody hated the job I even went to the emergency room Because I was so overworked I got injured. I only took the job for the money didn't even pay all that well. So I left to pursue my Passion when I quit I felt a sigh of relief. I knew I was meant for greater than better things.
I loved my job I loved the work the reason why I gave a two week notice and quit was because I was constantly being slandered and gossiped about every week and getting screamed at with innuendos by evil coworkers all the while having health problems i was struggling with. The pressure was too much .
I quit the restaurant business after 21 years working as a line cook. I got tired of working crazy hours, having no benefits, being stressed out, the low pay, toxic environment, nobody appreciates your hard work Now, I work at a warehouse 4 days a week. I work from 7am to 5pm, have great benefits, have a life again.
29 and worked/trained in/ explored many careers alongside my TH-cam: chemist, army, navy, RAF, police, lab analyst, dentist, biology teacher, Offshore worker, Amazon delivery driver... Now I can say I am set for life and so happy in the job I am in right now. I work at the hospital in the labs as a biomedical support worker. I plan to work my way up to Biomedical Scientist and hopefully a specialist one day. Consulting Doctors and giving advice on patient care. The work is very rewarding and very eye opening as well. Dealing with real patient samples every day. I love the science and find it so interesting. Plus, I work with a lovely bunch of people. I remember everyone thought I was crazy jumping from job to job and yes...didn't look the best on my CV, but it was so worth it and I'd do it all again just to end up where I am now. So yeah, always try and find your passion in life. And every job has it's bad days as well. It's called life haha. Good luck to everyone out there reading this. I hope you find your way.
Ive been at a job for 20 years and now been told to take the vac or dismissal. However unfair this situation is I do think it’s a push I need. I’m so comfortable there, it’s a relatively easy job, local too but I feel mentally exhausted and don’t feel like doing anything when I get home. It’s time to take a leap of faith again🙏
Stand your ground. Don't take it. Trust that the universe will always have your back. I'm soon to be 50. I've quit many jobs over the years because of many of the reasons that Tim mentioned. This last time was or is the very last time. Never going back to a full time employee job. Tell yourself what I always tells myself " everything always works out for me" and it will. Set yourself free!
@@MonkeyhammerTP thanks for that, it’s so needed, as you may imagine it’s so hard making a decision and those around me unintentionally put doubts in me, like what if I cannot find a job that pays well or at all. I’m 47 and don’t know where the years have gone, raising kids and keeping home has kept me in the job but now they have grown apart from one who is a teenager and although the grown ups ares still at home, I feel if not now then when. You can tell I’m rambling on , I suppose I just want to speak with likeminded people, who get it. I’ve always thought for years now that it’s a rat race. I have until the 16th of September to have the 1st vac and the 2nd vac by 11 Nov, time is certainly ticking, my gut says no to it but then I hear comments that we are privileged to say no, others in countries have no access to it yet. Anyway faith is my guidance.
Don’t trade your integrity and body sovereignty, don’t make yourself a human trial and put EXPERIMENTAL drug in your body, unknown long term effects, solely for the “privilege”’ of working for a company that could and would and will drop you without a 2nd thought if you became disabled or for budget cuts or layoffs or restructuring. Think of the lack of respect they’re giving you-put this in your body or else. You’re better off with “or else”. Many places are hiring, so much is remote, Instacart shopping is decent gig money-you will be protected
@@MonkeyhammerTP thank you, my thoughts the same, at any point they can decide to get rid of me, even after the vac, the only shame is I won’t be getting a redundancy now If I were to leave, never imagined it would be this way. Anyhow thanks again for your comment.

Usually the issue isn’t the job. I have found that low quality middle management is the issue particularly under skilled team leaders who micro manage staff. Companies work far better when staff are empowered to do the work without constant hassle from jobsworths with no management or people skills that’s why often small companies and business have a happier work force.
This!!
People join companies...but they leave managers.
Low quality middle management, you nailed it.

When you take control of your own life besides having things forced onto you, it makes a tremendous difference, because YOU made the decision, not anyone else. The peace and happiness that I have now is unrelenting 😃
Congratulations on quitting and doing something better for you. What do you do now?
I just quit my job yesterday! My supervisor said I could not take any time off, even to get my car fixed to get to work!
8 out of 10 on this list for me. I wanted to go but didn't want to leave the security. Then the Universe help me make my decision. The Pandemic started and they told the unvaxxed we weren't allowed to work. Problem solved. Haven't felt this good in a long time!
I quit my job as an accountant at age 38. Switched careers completely!
I quit my accounting job and will be having my own accounting firm the way I like it!

Your videos really helped me getting through the dark part of my life. In my 20’s I was studying, so I could get a better job, and make a lot of money. When you get to your 30’s, 40’s and 50’s you realize that you’re running the same rat race. I’ve found that out during my late 30’s.
Me and wife quit our jobs me five years and her two years ago. Best decision we ever made. Life is fun, and stress free now.

Exactly Tim is my dude, but he acts as if people can just quit their jobs.

I quit my job 12/22/23.. Mentally exhausted now slowly recovering from the mental beat down and I am surrendering to God on what to do next
If you've got 10 more years to go till retirement and freedom, then this would work. But what if 20, 30, 40...
The absolute MOST informative video on TH-cam about this subject!

I left dmv 2 months ago. The freedom is a responsibility and an adjustment but it's worth it. Growing my 2 companies and driving Uber in-between.
The sort of things you get to do when you have no job. That is so lovely. I'm quiting my job because I can't cope really.
For most folks - they have two choices, if you can call them choices. Either live with nothing or get into debt and suffer the other way.
I quit my job today. Felt unsure about it. The more away from that job i get the better. Thanks for this video. I had to go to the hospital because I was having such a bad panic attack I thought I was having a heart attack. All because of this job. This is the most toxic job I've ever had. Even after the hospital i still felt like I couldn't quit. But today I finally quit and I feel liberated but scared at the same time but i was literally killing myself so I know deep down I made the right decision its just the propaganda is so good, feeling guilty about leaving a job I hate
Hello Mr.Timothy and everyone.I really enjoyed this video. So Animated and true statements. THIS IS YOU....GREAT JOB👍🏿🤗

You hit all 10 points for me! I knew I didn't want to live my life for my job as a nurse practitioner. I'm so much happier working for myself!
Welcome to the channel/journey/community!
Yes, go ahead and quit that job. It ain't worth it.
Just quit my corporate job to travel the world
Who's gonna build the rocket Elon?
The entire difference of savings is never kept in cash but in high growth stocks. If you invest in companies like Tesla your money grows forever while you do nothing. Look into it.
@@ssj3vegett0 Tim quit his job with $1000 and lived off seasonal jobs to travel. So its possible with little money depending on other personal circumstances (family, kids etc).
@@MsPriyaLal i get that. and its relatively easy in AMERICA , if you live in your car and min wage across the country after paying gas/food only you can get by.
but my comment was directed above for WORLD travelling, it is very difficult to find gig jobs abroad. and if in Asia even if you got a gig its 3x lower than min wage i rather not apply at all.
but if your rich and have it all $ at one time, then there's no need for work and life is easier.
Another is when the boss starts getting on your back for petty or small things probably time to jump from the sinking ship.
Absolute truth! I’ve been with the same company for 8 years and am just now getting myself set up to quit. Not sure how long it’s going to take me but I will be ecstatic when that day comes! Love all of your videos! You have been an inspiration to me. Keep up the great work!
Gotta say I just had a lightbulb moment watching your video. My new job at my current job will be to get my tax debt paid off. Get my credit card debt paid off. 6 months of savings built up. This will be motivation at my current job so I can move forward. Thanks man.
great video!
I've never worried about quitting a job or getting fired from one. If you know what you're doing you'll never have to worry about finding work.
Have no idea your age. This is a fallacy. I would inject some hubris in your view.

Agreed.
I like your mindset.
@C Perkins you're in the wrong industry, education is the key
It's not just the Millennials. Us GenX kids are doing it to. It's like employees aren't getting it. When the employer is lame and the work is lame and they are set in old ways of doing things, it's time for a reset. I'm tried of these people being almost not caring, sterile and numb about their employees. I moved to a new job because of this. Us people / families that make good financial decisions and put money back have choices and that's the way it is. These employers need to wake up and see they are not in control of people lives like they want to be and the way they where for the past 100 years. It's over.
"The age of controlling companies is over, the time of the people has come."
Good company's / people already know this and teat their people accordingly.

Just feel like I’ve been playing life “SAFE” and I’m
changing that right now!

Are you doing a trade now? I’ve always been curious
Overrated, I did plumbing hard on your back, too much time on the road to get to sites, and very unprofessional.

You should consider quitting:
1. If you dread going to work
2. If you're not being paid enough
3. If you're being overworked
4. If there's no advancement there
for you
5. If there are no challenges and
you're bored
6. If it's affecting your physical or
mental health
7. If you have a long commute
8. If you don't feel appreciated
9. If your side hustle is doing well
10. If your intuition tells you it's time
to go
