I’m a highly analytical guy. I had a friend who encouraged me like nobody else had in my life. I started developing feelings for her . While that was happening I was trying to make my business ventures profitable and I was able to work hard and crunch the numbers to yield an insane return, but I neglected her. I was swamped working with all these numbers and figures on top of my other job . I succeeded . I didn’t want to take her for granted anymore and asked her out. She had already been seeing another guy a couple months and he asked her to be his girlfriend 3 days after I asked her out. They’re in a relationship now and I’m left with my business and the money I made. She has no idea that she was one of the biggest reasons that I was successful. I have memories of us together laughing and dancing and flirting and gazing into each other’s eyes together flood my brain every single day and I’m powerless to go back and change any of the mistakes I made with her .
It's ok my friend, you messed up and things didn't end up how you wanted. That's ok, it's all part of the world we live in. It hurts like hell when it does and it feels like the end of the world. Like everything you built is crashing down on you. These terrible moments come with living. But along with them come moments of sheer happiness and bliss. Moments that make you happy to be alive. It will pass, eventually you will find someone and because of your experience you will know to treat them better. It seems impossible right now and so distant but believe me, let some time pass and you'll feel better. Just remember that our lives are not defined by our moments of sorrow but by our moments of joy and happiness.
