My mom was in her early 20s and I was really little and to this day I still remember hearing this beautiful song at the back seat of her car during the late 90s. I totally felt like I was in a different world and that everything was gonna be alright.

Growing up in the hood with nothing but my mother and brother and family I made in the city showed me alot. When I lost some to suicide and drugs it turned the chapter in my life and this song was my therapy. Sitting alone in my backyard listening to this was all I had at times. And now as the years go by it's bittersweet the fact that I make music and art for all my friends I lost and people I don't have anymore. Thank you.

This song has only recently become known but it has been a favourite of mine for a long time. For the last 12 years I have always thought of my dad when I heard this song. I had happy memories of dancing around with him when I was a toddler and I never understood the meaning of the lyrics. Now as a young adult I understand and relate to the the lyrics more than any other song. "You bleed just to know you're alive" is a powerful line executed perfectly, and this song will always be part of me, no matter how popular it gets ❤

Saturday of last week me and my cousin was talking about how much we was miss everyone cause he’s a senior and so are his friends i’m a sophomore in high school so seeing my friends leaving me hurts but two days ago he passed. I want this pain to go away but it won’t be gone for a while. But this song was the last thing i remember listening with him, Even if we are painstakingly piecing together, it doesn’t mean things will go back to the way they was. I will miss him a lot.
