Nice start picture of hotel. My favourite steam is Bridgnorth Severn valley railway. There is definitely - and + to national holiday but I enjoyed seeing the steam trains. Thank you

Thanks for watching and I did put the steam train ride at the top of my highlights for the trip but to be fair it didn’t take much to be top. Take care

Inside the carriages they are called couchettes. At night time on long journeys the seats would convert into beds so passengers could get some sleep. Should of told that coach driver us english are tough as old boots and a bit of rain never hurt anyone. We are not made of sugar and there is a useful thing called an umbrella.

LOL, thanks for the comment Luke and very interesting. As for the driver, it was funny that he said at first he was a happy go lucky guy happy to do anything and then a few stops of rain and he was calling for people to go home. Even though a few refused, we were still home before four which seems really early for a two day trip and a lot earlier that other trips I am seeing arriving home recently. Again thanks for watching the video and all the best.

Hi, watch this with some interest, why well ill tell you at the end of this review. I've done this trip myself many times, and your comment regards that it could be seen as a taster that was interesting. first of your time in Skipton on your first day, with cannel cruize what you might not know that it, the cannel company book the time slot with NH (national Holidays) and if your time slot was closer to your arrival time, these, in turn, would have given you more time after the cruise to explore (the market) however each driver is different as you said, this makes a big difference. I personally would have judged the travel to the hotel (that being 30 mins) and changed the departure time to say 4.30pm. however what you have to take into account that drivers have departure times. which are listed on his job sheet or (itinerary) as there known. however, secondly, some passengers wish to get to the hotel with a few hours before dinner (which again hotel have booked a slot for the mealtime) as you rightly pointed out that you stay as a group in most hotels anyways. that said. the second day, after the train trip, you went to Bolton abbey, how or why you stated you could not go there I don't know, as you can, there's a bridge that alows you to go there, its on the map of the main entrance. also, the driver gives you the option to short your trip due to weather (rain) and to be honest this does happen if bad weather is close or due. is been well known that in winter or spring months, heavy downpours in a small place like Grassington with now where to rest up, and the cafe owners do what people sitting in due to weather, and not purchasing items, this often happens in small rural areas. however that said, it worked out fine. yours pointed out that the total cost for trip was £168 for two. and yet hotel, cannel, train, came in at £142 if you did this yourself you would have petrol and parking to pay on top that, and yes value for money. So as you may have guessed by now, I am myself an NH driver. and I thank you for your review.
