- Here it is, the long-awaited new mix!
I'm back with an entirely new set-up, new camera angles and new tunes. I've upgraded from my old audio Technica LP120's and have got my hands on some Technics 1210mk2's (which I'm still getting used to).
In this episode I was joined by one of my closest friends who is manning the cameras from all angles, shout out Absy one time!
This Mix explores sounds of the late 90s, with some classic garage house tunes I have collected recently. My collection is always growing but I have been branching out from just house, buying in a lot of disco and boogie. Just a tip:: if the pitch starts to go out in the middle of a mix , rather than adjusting the record your bringing in which is the focus of the people listening try adjusting the record which your taking out , its a lot less noticeable. Keep at it sounds good 👍

Cheers brother I'm 51 and you remind me of the olden days of buying wax. How in the hell it makes sense for a kid of today I can't comprehend but I love it. With house music in the early 90s and so much of getting hyped on songs happened at the record shops first, then in the clubs that same weekend. Anyway i noticed that when you tap the pitch fader you are getting bassy feedback from the 1200s

Thanks for the advice! Some of these mixes aren’t as tight as I wanted them to be, I’m still learning and the skill will come with practising. I use these videos to showcase my improvement, hopefully in the coming months this will be clear as I’ve been getting behind the decks almost every day since this video was posted :)

Getting your first 1200s is very special, I'm on my second pair (mk5s) but my old mk2s are still in use by a friend. Those mk2s are now almost 40 years old and show no signs of stopping. Nice mix, keep at it.
Lovely stuff mate good to see the young ones doing it right! Im 50 now and still have my 1210's from i was 15, have a full digital set up now too but love a blast on my vinyl 😎

Just came here to say I really don’t like rotary mixers. I used rotary Ureis a few times in some clubs and bars in Japan and couldn’t get back to my trusted 600.
