This week you join me for my belated 1 thousand subscriber special mix, and what better place to host this than Cafe 1001 down Brick Lane! Being in a cafe at around midday I wanted to keep it deep, jazzy, and soulful, adding a nice ambience to those enjoying their afternoon coffee.
This mix isn't as tight as I wanted it to be, you can see throughout I am struggling to get used to the setup, lots of out of time mixes and dropping tunes in at bad times. For a 1K subscriber mix it takes me back to my early days of mixing when nothing would work and I'd be constantly trying to beat match tracks for hours with no success. It reminds me of how far I've come but also how far away I am from when I want to be!
Messing with vinyl is an art form in itself and I'm pleased to be sharing my journey with the internet so you can hopefully learn from my mistakes. Thank you for always staying locked in, I have some more bedroom session mixes coming real soon so hold tight and go rinse my other mixes in the meantime.
