    Three words: A-ma-zing! Troels and Ina, you always dance from the heart and it shows. The most beautiful thing to behold: Two people dancing in perfect harmony. Thank you. Thank you so much. Big hugs from your forever fan and friend.

    Absolutely beautiful. A masterpiece.
    For some reason, this melody transforms Troels into an exceptional dancer.
    And Ina is phenomenal. When they first danced this show at the World Super Star 2019, the crowd exploded in applause. It was very moving. The very best rumba of this couple, and now repeated in the 2021 show.

      You are correct Helge. It was at the World Super Stars in 2019 that I first saw them dance this show to this music. The crowd was very moved as was I. Ina was overcome with emotion. Let us never forget what happened and the bravery and heroism of one man. I do not believe that the choice of this piece was done lightly.

      @@jeancristaldi8762The bravery of one man, yes.
      I think what makes this the most unique and beautiful rumba show ever, is in addition, and perhaps first and foremost, the unique art of this music, the ongoingness of this theme.
      The couple dances exactly into the music, lives out the music. The music is unique.

    What in their performance justifies the use of this particular piece of music? When the Russian skater Yulia Lipnitskaya used this piece at the Sochi Olympics, she skated as the girl in the red dress from the film, making it a poignant and meaninful performance. What is the motivation for using such a loaded piece here, except it being "beautiful"? Is it some kind of tribute to the film made to bring awareness to the Jewish historical ordeal? I don't think so, since it looks like a regular competition rumba, which makes it a really tone-deaf performance from such a high-ranking couple. Incredibly disappointing

    • @helgechristophersen7665
      @helgechristophersen7665 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This melody, this music is so moving. The background of It is not the ordeal of millions, but the beautiful accomplishment of one man, saving a list of people he provided to the executors, saying that they were of vital importance to his business, and could not be replaced. This courageous man and his interference saved the Jews on the list. And so beauty out of despair made this melody.
      One of the most moving, one of the very best melodies ever composed.
      And everybody must be moved that the Jews on the Schindler list were saved.
      And in fact, the title melody of the ongoing Blackpool festival, is a new waltz by the very Empress Orchestra, of the Empress Ballroom of Blackpool: THIS melody played as waltz.
      This moving melody, this genius of a melody, is the perfect signature melody of Troels and Ina´s best dance, the rumba. Which will carry them all throughout the world in shows, and live in thousands of years as their moving, very moving masterpiece.

      Some things should be off-limits unless it’s a tribute. Period.

      @@ficklefialka309 It is interesting to note that many of the most moving and excellent masterpieces of music have been written on a background of war and serous things.
      Beethoven for example did write his famous third symphony to praise Napoleon, although he suddenly afterwards regretted it. No one today looks upon using this symphony as a tribute to ANYONE like or in the same position as Napoleon. It is the quality of the music that is played and loved. Even famous Viennese waltzes was written with a background of war, but the beauty of the music is what is loved today. The famous Godfather waltz from The Deerhunter was played millions of times for dancing because of its beauty and power, not at all by anyone being considered as a tribute to gangsters.
      Paso doble masterpieces of music are played not because of killing of animals, but because of the art of the music.
      Schindler´s list music has a unique quality and ongoing ballet like structure that has transformed Troels and Ina into THE MOST beautifully synchronized latin dance couple in history.
      It would be madness to discard the unique and not replaceable music that made their breakthrough and that suited their personality. Every couple has a for them unique and irreplacabe music, that they afterwards stick to for the rest of their lives. This is the nature of art. Arunas Bizokas, 10 times World Professional Ballroom Champion, says in his major teaching video: "We (he and Katusha) look upon dance as an art. And we are performers of art."

    • @ficklefialka309
      @ficklefialka309 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Helge Christophersen Thank you for taking the time to mansplain what art is and how it should be used. In my turn, I’d advise you to take a less biased and more critical stance toward what you see, read, and hear in general and toward your favorite dancers in particular. One way to do that would be this: instead of certifying this choice of music as ultimately non-problematic by pointing out that the same piece is played in Blackpool, you might want to question whether that’s ethically appropriate also. And, one more thing: do try to give your stream of consciousness some shape before you hit the key for readability. As the old adage goes, less is more.

      @@ficklefialka309 I will try to make this as short as i can to suit your taste. Troels and Ina danced to this piece a couple of years ago as a show dance in Asia. I remember thinking that their performance was one of the most haunting and beautiful performances of a Rumba that I had ever seen. It was as if the perfect dance artists came together with the perfect piece of music. Ina was so moved at the end of the piece that she put her hand to face and wept. She was so overcome with emotion that I could not help but wonder if the music had a special meaning to her. I wish I could remember the exact event that I first saw them dance to this particular piece of music and for others to see a very emotional Ina at the end of their performance.
