Turn Signal Led Swap on 2019 Kia Forte

- I decided to swap the factory bulbs to much brighter led's for the front and back of my 2019 Kia Forte EX. The front of the car took approximately
10 min. The rear took about 30, that'll be coming in the next upload.
Tools required:
Flat head screwdriver
Front Led:

I’ve been wanting to do this! I’ve already changed my low beams and fogs to matching 5000k HID bulbs and I have LED license plate bulbs as well, so this will probably be my next upgrade.

Front turn single lights were pretty easy to install.
Hello, do you have a video of the LED swap of the rear turn signals? I tried to change the reverse lights. It was a pain but cannot imagine reaching the turn signal socket as it sits higher. I have a 2020 Kia Forte EX and the driver side is harder. But even on the passenger side, I don’t know how I will reach the turn signals. Thank you in advance. 😊

No fog lights or daytime running lights on yours? Here in the U.S it even comes with the base model but you lucky.. you got the dual climate control. Some Forte here don't like mine and I have the Gt

Hey, thanks to you i was able to change my from indicators to LED and it works. Although, the back ones, once I installed them, i got an error message and it started hyperflashing. what do i do?

How do they look when you have the turn signal lights on steady? Are they as bright as when there blinking?

hey man, I'm in London aswell! I just bought a 2019 forte EX, no sun roof or anything so just the 4dr EX model. I was wondering if the headlights are white or yellow? I pick my car up in a couple days so I was just curious. Thanks and great vid!
Thank you for watching, glad you liked the video! Congrats on the new car, you're gonna love it for sure. The headlights are a very bright white if you have the led's which i believe the EX does. And more of a traditional warm white if you have the non led variant.

I've only seen the running led lights in person so far and it's the same setup as yours with the 4 white led squares sort of surrounding the headlight itself so I'm assuming that means I've got the led version. I pick the car up on Monday and in the mean time ill check out the rest of your vids!

Hi! Looks great. Did you get any error message on the computer? Something like check your lights or bulb missing? I want to change my stop lights but I used a regular leds (no canbus) and I got this problem. Did you already use this Katar 1157 for stop lights? Thanks!
Thank you for watching!! I didn’t get any error at all, of course these have the canbus support and are error free. My forte came with the led head and tail lights so I never had to change them. But I have a friend that had regular taillights so I’ll be doing a swap on those soon. Stay tuned.
Thanks for answer. You're right, my Forte is the EX only, not the premium one, this model hasn't led taillights 😒

Hey! I finally got a LED lights, unfortunatelly the right bulb is 1156 for a Kia Forte EX 2020 in Mexico. Hope this data helps to any others that want to change the front lights. Regards!
Great video. I have a 2021 Forte GT. Used the same bulbs but they are hyper flashing and I get an error on the dash saying check signal lights. Any ideas?
Pretty strange to be honest... i would send them back and get a replacement set. Mine have been running perfect, no hyperflashing or dash warnings.

@@zacharymagee9342 yes I got new bulbs and they work no problems. I now own a 22 Stinger everything is led so no swaps needed

Did you get a turn signal check light when installing any of these?
No I had zero errors, made sure to get led’s with canbus so I could prevent the errors
@@KiaForteMods I got ones that had that too but the check light still came on. May try a different set of leds.

I have this car as well. Would it be worth it to upgrade this cars exhaust, air intake, suspension, etc? And wondering about visual mods as well spoilers etc. I cant find too much info on this and idk alot about cars. Hope you can help me
Thanks for watching the videos! The suspension I probably would keep, the exhaust I’m actively looking to make sound a bit better and the intake is something I plan on doing next week if I can get the parts in. A cold air intake is the plan

Did you happen to change the fog lights as well?

And how difficult is it?
I swapped out the fog lights. It's not difficult but it is kinda a pain. You need to remove the plastic undercarriage cover (plastic clips and a few screws) to access the fog lights. Unplug the wire harness. The fog lights have this weird secondary plastic housing that did not let me to twist off the stock fog light. I had to unclip the housing and then I could twist and pull out the stock fog light bulb. It's really tight so my arm got scratched up, but it wasn't difficult.
I'm so glad I got my forte before they switched to this hideous design lol

@@MNM2884nick The design looks great, however the placement of the front and rear turn signals (plus the reverse light) is an utterly stupid design.
Too bright they will blind other drivers

hey man irrelevant question but im considering buying the Kia Forte but i cant get over the location of the rear turn signals, have you had any instances when changing lanes in tight knit traffic where people couldnt see your turn signal?
Hey, thank you for watching! To be honest I don’t think I’ve ever had that issue. I feel like the other driver has to be extremely close to you for them not to see the turn signal. I found that with the leds in, the turn signal lights are way brighter! So that should help if you decide to go for a forte!
