Like you I make a lot of my own envelopes so have tons of them. This is a great idea and you could use the other sized envelopes also and just adjust the sizes. I will be making these for Christmas this year! Thanks Sam!

I can use my color card stock to make envelopes and then cover with paper pad to make these for Christmas gifts. Thank you for sharing this!

I love that you can put so many photos in it - my daughter did a professional internship at Disney World aquatic center over the summer and I wanted to make her an album to put all of her photos in this will be excellent and then I can give her a little baggie full of stickers and things and she can decorate it herself!

You always come up with something fun. Again just what I need. I’ve just finished a wedding album for my grandson and was thinking of doing a smaller one for the parents. I have never made one of these mini albums but you make it seem so easy! I have a baby shower coming up I might have to try it!! You didn't say the size of the back cover correctly but it is correct on the blog. It's just beautiful thanks for this tutorial.

Hiya 😁 you can definitely bind this, I think your spine would need to be 5" - 6" inched to hold the 8 pages.
Love it! We are all great at taking photos, but how many do we actually print out nowadays? This will encouragw us to get them printed and to display the photos we love. Great as gifts too. So many ideas, just not enough hours lol x
Love this album! Going to make a baby album for my granddaughters sister. May I ask you what glue do you use? Love the applicator.
Any suggestions for using a treasured paper pack when you just want to hoard it? I find myself buying only good paper with prints I'm not necessarily thrilled with because i haven't learned how to let go, and that makes creating feel like work... Do you ever make projects you can't let go of? Do you eventually get tired of them? I could ask a million questions, but I'd love a video from you addressing just paper hoarding. You've improved my stash a lot with your natural attitude towards paper crafting (that it's going to make someone else happier than it ever will sitting in your own stash), but even with useful intentions, i seem to find more reasons not to use paper than to lose it forever... My "hoarded" stash is still manageable, but I'm wondering if paper crafting is just not for me... Love your album and I'd love to hear your thoughts! ❤
Hi Elizabeth. When I have a paper pad I love, I always make something for myself using it and I get a great satisfaction finishing it, those paper pads and l the different prints are meant to work together so they need to be cut up. For example I love the Dovecraft Secret Garden papers so I made my Bird Box which is hanging in my craft room for me to look at every day. I love cutting into a paper pad, and just remember that there is always going to be another beautiful paper pack made. My mini albums & some cards are things I can't let go of but everything else I'm happy too, I love when my friends pop over and want to buy my cards and gift bags, they always leave a donation which I can then use to buy more, its a lovely crafting circle...I make something which brings me joy and then someone else buys it or I give it away for it to then bring someone joy. Please don't give up paper crafting just cut into it, its just paper at the end of the day. Sam 😁
@@MixedUpCraft You make some fantastic points! Keeping your faves from paper pads often leaves you with a pile of patterns you love but colours (etc) that don't work together. And when making projects with papers i don't mind losing, they still work with eachother so well that cutting them up feels more natural? Acceptable?... Have to get both sides of the brain working together, perhaps, lol! I've only made cards from my papers, but I've watched your gift bag and box videos (including the bird house ❤), maybe it's time to try a braver project, just for myself. Thanks so much!!

When you give the measurements for the 3mm greyboard for the front and back covers, you give the measurements as -
Greyboard 6.7/8 x 6. 5/8, Patterned 8 x 8, white paper 6.1/2 x 6.5/8
The blog states -

Greyboard -
Video measurements = 6.3/4 x 5. 5/8
Blog measurements = 6.7/8 x 6. 5/8
Patterned paper is the same = 8 x 8
White / plain paper
Video measurements = 6.1/2 x 6.5/8
Blog measurements = 6.1/2 x 6.5/8
I guess my question is still the same, but, I thought that the overall album wasn't a square in shape. If I have completely lost the plot, I am honestly sorry. I will have a look, what you wrote originally was all the same measurements which is why I was confused.
