I love the way you put colours together. I am doing the mixed media morsels with cat hand but I need something more challenging. Thank you a thousand times 🤗

This is so-o-o wonderful,great and professional! I concur your paper choice is outstanding and love the fact you aloud the paper to show itself...don't think i can make my look like this however someday soon i will try this ...thank you
The binding is made from card stock hinges that are attached from page to page. Those are supported by tyvek, which is a very strong paper like material that is used as a vapor barrier in home construction. Lastly you use 3 strips of duck tape as the actual book binding. I think with normal book use it will be fine.
Hi Sara: Another question for you: What size chipboard did you use for the "Once Upon a Time" mini album? I started watching your youtube on the baby album where you cut your chipboard to 5 1/2 x 7 1/2. So I followed those directions and made a 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 cover and back. KO cut her chipboard at 5 1/2 X 8 3/4. I followed her youtube tutorial when I made my first envelope album but found after assembling it that 8 3/4 seemed to be a bit too long. So do you thing that the 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 size chipboard will be large enough for the Once Upon a time?? Thanks for all of your help. Marianne
Hi Angela. Whenever I mat anything, all I do is make the mat paper 1/4 of an inch smaller. So if the page is 5x7, the mat would be 4 3/4x 6 3/4. That gives you 1/8 of an inch all the way around. Sometimes it's not exact. As long as there is about 1/8" of room or about all the way around that's good. I call it a smidge of room. Let me know if u still need help, TFW, sara

If I didn't say it before, your albums are really beautiful. Your embellishments are very creative and the book is elegant looking front to back. I've only made one (only because I happened upon KO's tutorial on youtube). It was a very good first attempt, but now I want to make them for my daughter and daughter-in-law, and thought that the Once Upon a Time stack would be perfect for them. Ivana. The tyvek comes in office envelope size at staples. There used to be a tutorial on Kathy Orta s TH-cam channel, but she may have taken it down. Her blog is the paper phenomenon and she charges for her video tutorials there. I'm not sure if I can do a tutorial on her technique. I can but I don't want to get in trouble.

Hi Sara, I love your books!!! So beautiful. I'm actually working on my 1st envelope album now. What is your paper measurements when you mat the cards? Kathy said 6 x 4 3/4. When I cut that measurement, its clearly too small for the card. But it looks fine on her tutorial. Im using exact same as hers. 7 1/4 x 5 1/4 envelopes, with 7 x 5 cards. I have been sitting here for going on 5 days now making (attempting!!!) my first book , not like yours...using the envelopes, but that will be my next endeavor, but I just bought some chipboard and duct taped the hinge. Alexandria MoonStar Hi Alex, When making mini albums, I have never sealed the paper with anything. There are so many techniques, like with mixed media, that you may , but generally there is no need when making a mini album. TFW, Sara

What is the formula for determining the size of your pattern paper based on the size of envelopes used? Meaning, do you just reduce your length and width by a quarter inch or so? How do YOU do it? Hi Monica. Yep. That's how I do it. I actually did a tutorial on a baby mini album if you want to check that out. I think I reduce the paper 1/4 inch on 2 sides to get an 8 th all the way around. It's been a while since I've made a mini. TFW, Sara

The1952trouble I used a tool called a crop-a-dile. I think it is by we are memory makers or keepers. Something like that. TFW, Sara
