Link's Prototype Animations

Using an animation modifier, I analyzed Link's animations and attempted to single out those that were left unseen from us. The ones I looked at came from a list of proposed prototype movements with rather inaccurate descriptions (see below). I did not replay the game, therefore some of these could be used in cutscenes. A couple of them could be in the final, and I tried to compare them to those that are no doubt used. I am not the best at that so correct me if I made any errors. I was uncertain for many of them (specially sword attacks), and I made an effort to exclude what most likely did make it into the retail copy. Credit to xdaniel for making the code, and ZREO plus Redux Sound for the music.
This replaces what Link usually does when he is low on health. To include the sword in his movements get rid of the shield.

... In all seriousnes though, these are amazing finds.
Animation at 0:00 is the animation of holding the Biggoron's Sword, but with the Master Sword.
Animation at 0:42 is used in the game, when you obtain the spiritual stones and when you meet Ganondorf just out of Market Town. Never used as adult, only as Young Link. That's why it looks so weird.
Animation at 1:44 is the Hookshot / Longshot animation. You never see it that well, but if you hit something and you fly into it Link shows this animation.
The rest is interesting to see... :-)
I believe I did check if it was the BG sword block but could u double check for me? I lack the means to do so now.

has anybody found a code that activate that beta animation that appeared in beta trailers, where Link actually turns around?? hope you understand what I mean :P
H4mm3rSp4c3 Hey, I was watching Twitch when I saw this. The first animation is used ingame, it is a animation that you see when you obtain the Nocture of Shadow. After Shiek gets thrown away by the monster, you see Link walking over to Sheik and kind of sitting next to her. That's this animation. It's barely visible, but I'm 100% sure it is this one.
And about the last animation, could it be the Din's Fire ending animation, when Link gets back up?
KoploperMau I checked it in-game using the debug camera, and that animation is not the same. imgur.com/FV1vNzb The pose is almost completely different.

:2:36 Adult Link can use the boomerang, although not normally. If you assign the c then switch to an adult, Link can use the boomerang pretty much glitch free, although it doesn't appear in his hand. This may be the origin of the throwing animation. The second throwing animation looks about right.

The "scrapped magic" animation to me, in my opinion, looks like a beta animation for releasing a red fairy that refills your health when you release it from a bottle
incorrect use FW and Link does a similar sequence at one point
***** In the past all medallions were going to get a magic spell each. There is significant proof that FW was the forest medallion, NL was shadow magic and DF is obvious which it belonged to. What I showed on video could have belonged to one of the remaining three. Did you stop reading about proto OoT after TOoH? Knowledge on proto OoT has increased lots since those days and unsourced claims have been gutted.

Ocarina of Time was originally going to be Zelda: Adventure of Link 2.0, so these animations make plenty of sense.

Nintendonator That video is one of the most accurate ones made on the making of OoT (I've actually read nearly EVERYTHING there is on that topic). That being said, I don't recall that bit about the camera switching perspectives in response to what is happening, although Miyamoto did want the game seen from Link's eyes.
Furthermore I don't know a whole lot about animating, but it sounds shaky to me that they could (or would) import animations from the SNES.

The description didn't really point me in any directions as in where to start or what this is as I am a beginner, but I later figured this is editing hexidecimal addresses in the decompressed rom, am I correct? And When you mention xdaniel's code, that code is to replace the idle animation with the selected one from the list to test it out? Hope I'm on the right page here. lol Do you happen to know a tutorial on how to write the animation replacement code or. do you just switch the hex values.
