@@npg68 I've done a bunch of research since I made this comment and now of the belief that he fakes a ton of his guitar work. I'm not the only one that feels that way. Musicians he's worked with said de does and lots of other people do to... I'm a life long guitar player and the reason I was suspicious is because he's playing things that aren't possible. He's recording at half speed and speeding up the playback . That's what makes this song sound weird and tinny and somewhat out of tune in places.
@@sumo-ninja yeah, they've been trotting out the half speed stuff for ages. Even claiming their drummers are recording at half speed with their play throughs. As a drummer, I know it is easy for some drummers to play at these speeds. I have no doubt there is much more than just the bass guitar in the backing track to fill out the sound, but I am confident that both guitarists are playing their parts. Having seen them live, I am of the opinion that Joel, does the heavy lifting with the guitar parts.
@@npg68Lucas may not always be up to speed, but Joel is the real deal, that man is a human slots machine. He's behind all the guitar tracking of Lugal Ki En, and his compositional skills are often overlooked, as many of my favorite RoS-songs are written solely by him. For example, Lalassu Xul, Gidim-instrumental. Most songs though are bi-written by both of the guitarists. Lucas has ear for catchier melodies and song structures, and Joel is the speed machine. Lucas' shreds are often easy patterns played fast, as Joel's shreds are something way else.
