Good video! I like the sound editing you did! It was sad but a little funny to see the lady try and fail at the automated boarding lane. Does the computer actually do facial recognition for this? I guess the future is here! I agree with you that the staff of an airline really sets that airline apart from others, such as the woman at 0:40 in your video.

The same picture is used to ensure it's the same person boarding the flight. I wanted to feature this new piece of kit more highly but as the flight was delayed pax all rushed Nevertheless I can't agree more with you on the value of the staff of an airline. I have fantastic memories of some flights just based on the warm welcome received
I reckon that LHR-MAN or LHR-LBA will probably be the first flight I’ll take on my own - both are short routes, and very convenient considering I live only about half an hour down the road in Maidenhead - very nice footage in this video 👍
I’ve never flown before and am extremely anxious about it. I’ve never wanted to fly and it’s stopped me from going to all the places that I’d love to go to. But I’m plucking up the courage do finally fly and was thinking of doing this exact flight! (London - Manchester through BA). It’s only short which makes me feel a lot more at ease. I was told it’s an hour - is it true it can take as little as 40 mins? What was your overall duration experience?
Thanks for sharing your experience. The flight between Heathrow and Manchester is short indeed - flying time is closer to 30 mins. I had the opportunity to fly with friends who were nervous flyers or travelled by plane for the first time. Support from friends or relatives can help, before and during the flight.BA also organises courses for their "Flying with confidence" programme - I heard some great feedback about itwww.britishairways.com/en-gb/information/travel-assistance/flying-with-confidenceI would like to share my best wishes and hope you'll get the opportunity to try. It would be great to hear your updates.
I had to listen carefully. There are two classes; Club Euro class with complimentary meal and drinks, and Euro Traveler where food and drink is available for purchase. Frankly I'm shocked they even did food and drink on such a short flight.
Is the shortest commercial flight in the UK done on a helicopter? I really think you are joking, pulling a fast one! (My father was once booked on a flight from LGA-JFK on a helicopter. His itinerary was sadly changed so he never got to experience that.)
:-) Actually a propeller plane that operates the Orkney islands inter-isles service in the North of Scotland (by Loganair. I think I flew with Loganair once between Norwich and Manchester). Shame your dad didn't have the chance to fly between LGA and JFK. There's a scheduled helicopter service between NCE and Monaco... he could experience that. The scenery is fantastic)
I remember taking off from Heathrow, there was some wake turbulence and the plane lurched strongly to the right
