Colocasia June 2017

We bought a few Colocasia plants to lift up our jungle style garden. It's still in its beginning stage but wil develop the coming years. Its our first attemt to grow these in our cold climate in the Netherlands. Hopefully it turns out great.
I made these clips as a reference to see how they develop. The plant are very young plants.

Nice plants. And how it is going now? I would like to try Colocasia in Germany.

Pink China is the most hardy and grows nice. Some of de cultivars died due to dry indoor overwintering. They were hard to get going in spring. Thai giant does great.

Hello Chris, they did not survive the winter period. The small bulbs dried, my fault. The best ones for cold climate is colocasia pink china. Those I leave in de ground with some protection.
