My uncle gave me his when I was 8. It was the first mechanical thing that I ever successfully took apart, repaired, and put back together again, (with help, of course). I still have it, (I'm now 63), and every time I look at it, it reminds me of my uncle and all the good times we had together when he was teaching me the rudiments of shooting. Buy one of these and give it to a kid and teach them how to shoot. You'll make memories that will last a lifetime, not to mention another adherent and champion of the shooting sports.
I have a red ryder that was given to me by my son in law- love it! Daisy always made good products! I hope to get my hand on one of these at some point, it looks like a very nice gun to have fun with. thanks for sharing with us!
The other difference is the metal's finish. The first ones were blued. At some point, still a while ago at this point, they switched to the painted finish they have today. Looking forward to seeing how you refinish it! I've read some threads of people that really dig deep into workings and finishes of various Daisy's. Thank you for the excellent videos.
An old man gave me an original one as payment for cleaning out a bunch of garbage from his basement. Several hours work at the age of 12 for one of those.
Made in China I’d buy an original , very common, easy to find and cheap, usually you can get a nice one for $10-15 They are nice smooth bore BB guns that are more powerful than the lever actions Daisys

I wish I knew you were doing this episode. I would have loaned you my 25 for comparison
Nice video. I have an original in really good condition and I didn’t know very much about it
If Daisy is rereleasing the model 25 I hope to buy one some time
@DonaldBriggs-i9y they did. Not sure how long they'll keep making them, so if you get a chance, grab one up!
@@20thcenturyadventures Where can I get one?
@warrenRV eBay, Amazon, Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, Rural King. Check the Daisy website and see where the nearest retailer is.

The original ones run about $80-$200 on eBay. I don't know where you're seeing those numbers!
