Rich Paul knows that if he went on to tie or even passed MJ in titles it still (and no one) would not put him over MJ. Once LeBron left to Miami, this era was over. Him leaving was probably the main catalyst for Durant to go to Warriors. Once that was done, LeBron had to find a way to beat that team and never did. He destroyed the morale on the Cavs and then left (first time). If he never did that, then possibly Cleveland could of been built up organically over time (if they were that bad they probably would of gotten Kyrie or a player like him), and players like Kyrie, and if they still had the 1st pick with Wiggins, to have a real team corrale for LeBron to be a winner and hero. Instead, the NBA was shaken up, and Lebron had to scramble with his Heat team- which didn't evolve passed Spurs (like Jordan's Bulls had to over Celts, Lakers, and Pistons; which nobody should hold against him for not beating immediately, but LeBron lovers do), and forced a win over them and it was barely done; and then they lost. They lost to Mavs too and that didn't need to happen (MJ didn't have growing pains, he'd drop 35 on ya and accept the loss). So no Heat, then prob no KD on Warriors and then the golden years of LeBron with an organic, tried and true, well-established team could of taken the torch over and dominated that period stripping Steph, and KD, of their dominance which instead he shared. It's possible LeBron could of dominated across the 8-9 time period primed for him and do it in a winning fashion. INSTEAD you get what played out without any loyal players staying with him, nobody wanting to play with him for that matter, and him forcing 4 championships he barely eked out...
Also would like to add that I believe that is why there is "parity" now in the nba because it's still correcting, players haven't taken over something that was unnatural, and will prob take time ro recover from for awhile...

Once LeBron left to Miami, this era was over. Him leaving was probably the main catalyst for Durant to go to Warriors. Once that was done, LeBron had to find a way to beat that team and never did. He destroyed the morale on the Cavs and then left (first time). If he never did that, then possibly Cleveland could of been built up organically over time (if they were that bad they probably would of gotten Kyrie or a player like him), and players like Kyrie, and if they still had the 1st pick with Wiggins, to have a real team corrale for LeBron to be a winner and hero. Instead, the NBA was shaken up, and Lebron had to scramble with his Heat team- which didn't evolve passed Spurs (like Jordan's Bulls had to over Celts, Lakers, and Pistons; which nobody should hold against him for not beating immediately, but LeBron lovers do), and forced a win over them and it was barely done; and then they lost. They lost to Mavs too and that didn't need to happen (MJ didn't have growing pains, he'd drop 35 on ya and accept the loss). So no Heat, then prob no KD on Warriors and then the golden years of LeBron with an organic, tried and true, well-established team could of taken the torch over and dominated that period stripping Steph, and KD, of their dominance which instead he shared. It's possible LeBron could of dominated across the 8-9 time period primed for him and do it in a winning fashion. INSTEAD you get what played out without any loyal players staying with him, nobody wanting to play with him for that matter, and him forcing 4 championships he barely eked out...
Also would like to add that I believe that is why there is "parity" now in the nba because it's still correcting, players haven't taken over something that was unnatural, and will prob take time ro recover from for awhile...
