You can nearly understand why she drank so much. To carry this burden for her whole adult life must have been heart-breaking for her, not to mind the effect it had on her living children.
I'm surprised nothing was mentioned that even though the baby was her first born, kept the pregnancy hidden etc. But! The baby could have been born dead, or had an illness and died later on. She didn't want to give up her first baby nor have little Jennifer buried. To keep it in the freezer all those years. Not to mention how many living children are out there. Poor Adam, having to be 40 or so years old before he could begin to live an actual life & hopefully free from future lies. Live well Adam, l am sure you deserve it, and enjoy your new sisters.🇨🇦
I’ll just say- God bless him. He was a good son. Glad he can now live his life. Sad he will never have all the answers to all his questions. Terrible he had to endure this pain and suffering. I wish when “people” did this to loved ones and did not want to “tell” them- why not leave them a letter or something to explain for them to heal?” Just saying….
We’ll never know but seems like the baby was stillborn and she had post-partum depression, and perhaps she was already depressed if she drank and was secretive. Depressed people hide it, but it comes out in other negative ways like heavy drinking or eating disorders, or drug abuse. There is also so much shame around pregnancy out of wedlock even today teens are shamed because they usually try to hide it. Also, we can be very critical of our parents but they are broken like the rest of us and just trying to survive.
The baby was probably still born and she never new what to do, or knew she couldnt afford to bury it. And she would always have her first baby with her. Let's not judge. She is not here to tell the true story. Sad regardless.
If she drank while pregnant, maybe the baby had Fetal Alcohol Syndrome-or some other profound disability-but died. She was also a smoker and that didn't help that infant's health and her own either. He called the dead baby girl "a thing"?

You never really know what people endure. I am sad that her life had so many losses and she likely managed that completely alone while taking care of everyone else. I don't believe that she ever hurt any of her children. Not even the one in the freezer. Grief takes on so many different forms.
To the son and sister who he grew up with. Did you search carefully before removing everything from that house or apartment? I can't help but wonder if there was a note hidden somewhere like in the lining of a coat or a double wall pocket or in an attic or behind door facing or window facing or under a false top in a kitchen cabinet or maybe even in a wall beside a receptacle or a light switch where you would really have to seriously search. It just seems like somebody knowing she was dying would want to leave their story behind even if they didn't want to tell it before they died.
It’s a real shame that this baby has been unacknowledged for all this time … as well as extremely disturbing that the mother was so willing to bring her to each & every place that they lived in. Otherwise … it’s amazing how many of this woman was willing to give up more babies than she kept. Was it an unselfish act or just not wanting to raise any more children than the ones that she kept. I really don’t think that anyone could answer those
I’m my opinion giving benefit of the doubt, she had some kind of bond with the child and couldn’t bare to just throw it away hence why she brought it every where she lived. And with Catholicism a church I was brought up in and am no longer a part of taking birth control was a sin having sex before marriage was a sin abortion obviously. And even tho I am no longer with the church I still have beliefs like wanting to have my children baptized out of fear that hell actually exists lol. So I assume her experience is the same as she never too birth control and whenever she had sex wether married or not, and would never get an abortion for these reasons. It’s just a thought but still a compelling situation. She probably loved her children dearly otherwise I wouldn’t see why she’d carry the child with her everywhere
I believe she loved each of her children and very much wanted to be a Mother to all of them under one roof. Maybe she just couldn’t find the person who was right to be her husband and a father to her children. She’s at peace in heaven with her babies who have already passed. And she gets to look down from heaven to see her children still on earth together. She is a kind beautiful lady. And I’m sure there are many lovely things to remember about her. What a wonderful gift she has left her children, siblings,

I wonder what really happened to this woman. Don't forget that we mature as we grow older. I don't think she mistreat the baby, Probably something happened to the baby. To be SURE in 2022 they can figure out a cause of death, & approximately the age- I mean c'mon- we have archeologist finding supposed bones in freezing temps and declaring they are 30 million years old and we can't get their help w/ a baby??? I agree that it's probably his sister. I wish they would update this case!!!!!!
Back in the 1970’s an elderly woman I knew but was not related to, died. She had never married but after her death a mummified baby was found in a tin in her house. She had had a male lodger but he knew nothing about the baby and he had no involvement with the child. No answers were ever found. It’s likely that she became pregnant and probably in the 1920s or 30s and had to conceal the pregnancy and the baby may have been stillborn since she may have had to give birth alone. I wouldn’t judge her, I always felt that she seemed troubled about something, she probably really suffered greatly due to have to keep this secret. The fact she kept the body seems to suggest the child was stillborn and she wanted it to be found one day.
I think stillborn. I don’t think someone who smothered their newborn would keep it in the freezer for decades. They usually discard or abandon the child even in dumpsters. She gave babies up for adoption. Stillbirth is a thing, especially if she had this baby alone. Medical complications happen all of the time in the hospital; she was alone. Stop judging when you don’t know what happened.
I also think that the baby died and she wanted her baby close by her. For thousands of years people buried their loved ones in their location and not hand them over to the "authorities". I get it. Think about it. I am the mother of a grown son and can relate somewhat.
googled Adam smith finds baby in freezer. found an update and says baby was full term but could not determine cause of death or how long she had been frozen. on tweeter
I don’t agree with what the mother did but I have a feeling that sense it’s her first baby when that baby died maybe she wanted her everywhere she goes she just couldn’t let her go so that’s why she did that 😅 I think
I know it was a shock, she probably had a miscarriage. And I believe she loved the child. But didn’t have the money to do a proper burial. Plus answer lots of questions. Like who was the father of the child, I feel like if I were In that situation I would bury the baby with my mother. She must have wanted her child with her. To wrap the baby in a blanket shows she loves the child. And for all those years she could have disposed of the baby but she loved the child enough to keep her close covered in her pink blanket. Adam’s mother was a beautiful lady. I can see how many men would have loved her. She might have had grief, but I know she is proud of both her son and daughter. And the child in the freezer. And all her children. How nice the siblings got to meet each other. I believe she wanted to have a good marriage and be loved unconditionally. I believe she wanted every child she gave birth to, she loves each one of them, it dose take a big heart to let a child be adopted. It’s selfless. You love your children with all your heart but you know you can’t provide for them, so you make sure they are in a good family. Adam I know it’s confusing. Don’t allow yourself to dwell on it or think bad thoughts, your have a beautiful mother and she is watching you all from heaven , smiling. one day many years from now you will all enter those pearly gates. And finally your mother can have all of her children with her, just like she wanted it to be on earth. You have sister ‘s now , that’s wonderful ! Be blessed! Leslye
Well done story. Now I know why I subscribed to the channel. After watching the last 2 episodes, that I had seen previous to this one. Were the information was just repeated multiple times, throughout the video. To makes it long enough to fit the time slot, I guess. But this provided a good human interest with information throughout.
This is craziest story😬they lived in a house that had that in there all those years it's a mixture of sad sick and creepy. Its indescribable the words.what a true horror story
As others have said. She couldnt bring herself to part with it. There is no mention of her having a man in her life. She maybe have been in love with a man and had their baby and he wasnt around. But by keeping the baby she wasnt letting go of his memory either. Freezing the infant was her way of preserving the body. How else could she have kept it? It was secure with her.
My great grandmother took the name of my grandfather's father to the grave no hints. At least there was stories. Then a baby and 2 sisters and a letter to investigate. Our family has that my great grandmother lived in Libby Montana in 1930 and my grandfather was born in a home in Portland Oregon closer to our families homes in Umatilla county Oregon. But there was a census from Libby Montana in 1930. I believe the man is on it if it wasnt her stepdad whom with her mother rushed to Portland to stop the adoption proceedings and adopted him themselves. Then nobody spoke of it until grandpa was raised and he found out his sister was actually his mom.
I have a lot of empathy for Adam. The pure hell he must’ve went through when he opened that box! 💔
Really? I feel sorry for his mom. Adam didn't go through anything compared to a young girl's trauma of having a baby alone.

I also think that the baby died and she wanted her baby close by her. For thousands of years people buried their loved ones in their location and not hand them over to the "authorities". I get it. Think about it. I am the mother of a grown son and can relate somewhat.
I've been waiting for an update
googled Adam smith finds baby in freezer. found an update and says baby was full term but could not determine cause of death or how long she had been frozen. on tweeter
We have some mysteries that we my never find the answers to either. God bless this family as they try to find the truth about their family
I don’t agree with what the mother did but I have a feeling that sense it’s her first baby when that baby died maybe she wanted her everywhere she goes she just couldn’t let her go so that’s why she did that 😅 I think
It's not funny stfu
I wonder if their is any update on this story! This story is all over the web and youtubers r still making them!
It was really nice to watch this programme listening to a females voice, found it really pleasant to listen to, so please keep her on.👍
Poor guy
What ended up happening
Be blessed! Leslye
I wish she would have warned him. Bless his heart. I wonder what happened to that baby.
Insane sooo many pregnancies and nobody in her family even noticed:( how sad to go sooo un noticed 😢
Well done story. Now I know why I subscribed to the channel. After watching the last 2 episodes, that I had seen previous to this one. Were the information was just repeated multiple times, throughout the video. To makes it long enough to fit the time slot, I guess. But this provided a good human interest with information throughout.
No DNA tests? This has been around a year now
Part 2 please
not impressed with the pic of a baby in ice at the beginning of this sad story.
That generation is very secretive for some reason. My parents were the same way. No need to give out any information unless you have to!!
This video is so good it should get 10000 likes
This is shows us that Adoptions is better than Abortion.
This is craziest story😬they lived in a house that had that in there all those years it's a mixture of sad sick and creepy. Its indescribable the words.what a true horror story
A DNA test may help reveal the truth to themystery.
Why would she put that baby in the freezer
As others have said. She couldnt bring herself to part with it. There is no mention of her having a man in her life. She maybe have been in love with a man and had their baby and he wasnt around. But by keeping the baby she wasnt letting go of his memory either.
Freezing the infant was her way of preserving the body. How else could she have kept it?
It was secure with her.
Its twisted no matter how it got there.
Bottom line , u don’t keep a baby in your freezer with the food you eat , inhumane , now the wee one can RIP 😢🙏🏼
It? Thing? It was a baby! A person!
so sad prayers out to you
How did she get away with this for so long all the lies poor chap
@4:58 “Are you going to grab it?” 😅😂
My great grandmother took the name of my grandfather's father to the grave no hints.
I have heard of this and this is like 5 miles from me in Saint Louis Missouri Wow
Mom sounded completely unfit to raise children. No pity from me,
