Up front, the fascia gets neatly put square LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights. The fore and aft skid plates, along with the plastic cladding around the wheel arches, further give the Taigun a rugged appearance. However, the most eye-catching bits are the LED taillights that are fenced inside the black casing.
Interior:
On the inside, the Volkswagen Taigun features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, a wireless charger, a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, touch-based automatic climate control, a cooled glove box, and ambient lighting. Moreover, it gets LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights, auto on, and follow me home function.

Under the hood, the Volkswagen Taigun comes equipped with the updated BS6 Phase 2 powertrains. It gets a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The former produces 115bhp and 175Nm, while the latter delivers 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. For the transmission, the SUV gets a six-speed manual, a six-speed torque converter, and a seven-speed DSG gearbox.

Engine and Transmission: The Taigun is offered with two engine choices: a 1-litre engine (115PS/178Nm) and a 1.5-litre unit (150PS/250Nm). Both these units are mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard. For automatic options, the smaller engine comes with a six-speed torque converter, while the larger one gets a seven-speed DCT.
The 1.5-litre engine has 'Active Cylinder Deactivation,' which improves fuel economy by shutting off two cylinders under low-stress conditions.
Features: The Taigun includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, an eight-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a single-pane sunroof and auto climate control.
Safety: It gets up to six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a rear-view camera. Also, seat belt reminders for all passengers are now offered as standard.
Rivals: The Taigun competes with the Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and MG Astor. Also, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic can be considered a rugged alternative to VW's compact SUV. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
