Thank you all for the support! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
I don’t know how you don’t have more views. Your videos are well editing you show the right amount of content. You tell us what’s going on, how to do stuff, and you have great ideas! I wish you were a full time TH-camr cause you def got what it takes and the could watch your videos daily. Thanks for the video!
Thank you very much man! I enjoy making the content for you guys and a byproduct of the hard work is getting more and more eyes on the project! I appreciate it and would love to eventually do this full time!
I mean this with all due respect, but don’t you ever leave us hanging that long without an update 😂 Jk
I know, I know...😅 there has been a lot going on lately but it's all to benefit the build! I'm going to give it my best shot to get back to weekly uploads👌 lots of content to come
@@ag_trucksI thought I knew what you did for a living but after this oven build, I’m positive you’re an electrician by trade. I thought paint and body guy but damn the oven is impressive. Talented individual 👌🏽
He’s a very talented electrician! I had the opportunity to work with him on some projects. Impressive to say the least.
Agreed, this is the most badass build I've watched in awhile! You got some serious talent and I'm looking forward to more content!!
True
Incredible job dude. I remember you telling me that you had to design and build an oven for the carbon fiber parts. That was only 6-8 weeks ago. And “ta da” you got it done!!! Impressive as always bud.
Thanks Mario! From the drawing board to reality has been a lot of research and work! Appreciate it bud, next step is making some parts🤙
Seriously. I'm working on my truck project (NOWHERE near as involved as this) and I get sidetracked easily & whine about minor setbacks...seriously impressive work & seriously impressive worker.
Been watching your build from the beginning... always been impressed with what you do with what you have. But this carbon oven has me blown away! AMAZING work!!!
Just the oven has been a massive project! I appreciate it man! Lots more consistent uploads coming🤙
Incredible job 😮 I can hardly believe your amazing work and building the oven from scratch!! Look forward to seeing it work! 👍👍👍💥
Glad to see you're finally back. I'm just happy I only found your channel relatively recently so I didn't have to wait as long as everyone else.
Glad you found the channel! I'll be posting much more frequently so you're in luck🤙
You do realize we've all waited the same amount of time for this last video? I just started watching a couple months ago myself, I was really enjoying this build and then all of a sudden there were no more (I only pouted for a few days 🤣🤣). It's all good though, it's been quite the build so far, and sounds like it's only getting better.
Awesome Job going to keep up on this project The Crazy Old Man In The Yucatan TCOMITY
Thank you very much!🤙
Good to see you back. Looking forward to more work on the truck, gonna be interesting to see how it goes with the carbon fiber. Nice job on the oven, and planning ahead for powder coating. I think its gonna be worth it.
Thank you Rick! I appreciate it! More content coming very soon!
Impressive, Bro, keep up the hard work
I’ve been a composites engineer for 18 years. Cool to see the project. I would recommend using freekote B-15 sealer in addition to the 700nc release agent. It acts almost like a high build primer to get a better surface finish. It will help the parts release from the mold even better
Just ordered some! Great call, thank you very much👌👍
This is sound advice… Respect the tool surface from the beginning
Really creative and well thought out! I’m excited to see how this works out
This is gonna be dope
Wow, this guy doesnt halfass anything. Theres some serious levels of skill and quality builds going on in the videos. Im doing a similar type of build and im loving watching the great ideas going into this and ill be following every detail intently!
Thank you very much man!! Lots of patience and dedication to get to this point! Lots more to come with carbon fiber soon👌
No wonder you haven’t been posting content, that oven build is quite something Alec, super impressive, can’t wait to see some parts being manufactured.
Awesome job as always!
Thank you Russell! It was quite an extensive build but it should be well worth it! Can't wait either haha, hopefully soon! Appreciate it👍
Always impressed by your capability and resourcefulness, best content on TH-cam right!-
cool 🎉 beautiful 👍🏻👍🏻
I hope you’ve got access to reasonably priced electricity! That ovens’ gonna chew up some juice.
Looking forward to more progress on the truck 🙂
It aint gonna be cheap to run lol😅 I'm gonna have to pay up... thank you man! Will be back on the truck this week for my next video!
Absolutely amazing build with the oven, really impressed! Eagerly anticipating the fabrication of molds and panels!
Thank you very much man! I cannot wait to see how it will turn out! Hopefully very soon!
I always look forward to your video's. You got me diving into carbon fiber. I didn't think it was something I could do myself until now. Love the channel!!
Thank you! It will be interesting to see how it unfolds! Hoping it goes smoothly but you guys will see the real process🤙 lots to come!
Subscribing from 902 Productions.
I’m making a full carbon fiber car as well. Body panels are first up, and then chassis. Yes I know that sounds backwards, but there are valid reasons.
Looking forward to watching your progress.
Subscribing all the way from south Africa
Bro…. You did a damn good job on this truck. Got damn man, hats off!
I am insanely impressed with your skill . It is about time you’ve posted another video! The build is coming along amazingly! You’re goin far in life my brother. I’m looking forward to more videos, especially videos involving the engine!
I hope everything is good in life. Cheers
Thank you man! It's been a while! I appreciate it as always bro. I'll definitely be uploading at a more consistent pace again now that I've got lots of molds to make haha. Hope all is well with you👍
youve earned yourself a subscriber, your work ethic is amazing
What an incredible project! Congratulations, absolutely love it! Subscribed! And from Nova Scotia too!
only things i can think is one: provisions for vacuum lines so your pump doesn't have to be inside and two: the metal on the outside is going to get hot with no insulation where the elements are. you could make a box around the area of concern on the outside and insulate it that way.
ive built multiple ovens for powercoating. you dont need to insulate the floor. have it sit flat on the floor. remember heat rises. then you can roll parts on a tray into the oven.
Vai ficar top quando terminar Esse projeto aí da caminhonete😊
👀 you know that oven may double as a DIY powder coating oven too!!
That's what I had in mind when building the oven! It's a well capable powdercoating oven if I want it to!
Your future is so bright it’s unbelievable! Well done!
Passion goes a long ways! Thank you man👍👍
Dude I'm so excited to see how the carbon fiber parts come out!
I can't wait to see how it works either! Thank you man!
Yooo!! Alec!! Super stoked for you bro!! That oven is legit!!! Great stuff bro!! Carbon fiber is gonna be next level stuff!! Keep crushing it bro!! Super crazy to think about how much you've transformed the C10!!
Thank you Dusty! The Carbon is a bit daunting but I'm sure I'll be able to figure it out! You know as well as I do just how much work goes into fixing all the rust lol😂 appreciate it brother🤙
Awesome, can't wait to see some carbon parts getting cooked up.
Don’t you have a job. We’re do you get money to build your own things the company gave you parts. To you to make the video
Need more content man, we all love your build
Lots more to come! Stay tuned!🤙
me if i had this oven and it was snowing: "ok guys we're filming in my oven today...."
Got my mustang down to 2150 race weight. Turbo, stick shift, big tyre sbc. I also got alot of my fabric from composite envisions its great quality stuff. Lightweight baby!
That's very impressive! Just checked it out on your channel, well done man👌
Like the rest of the project nice oven keep up the great work 👍🏻
Thank you Yvon! Lots more videos to come👍
Esperaba con ansias un video nuevo 👍
Saludos desde Salta Argentina 🇦🇷
Great job man, keep making it happen
Thank you! Lots more to come🤙
Im wanting to do this to my 62 f85 ill be watching closely
This is dope!!!
Good luck. The real test will come when its time to make the carbon fiber.
Thank you! You're right, we'll see!👍
Look up the fiber forge. They already made a full carbon c10. Itd save you money if you can use their molds
His fenders are modded and I think his bed is shorter
I've seen their C10, it is absolutely insane. My c10 is completely different dimensions so their molds wouldn't work. I doubt they would be willing to share their secrets as well!
What a ride this truck build is turning out to be. I had my first start on my c10 yesterday. I honestly am on board with the Carbon fiber build, and if it turns out as amazing as i think it will, i may have to try it too. Although, your still in the early stages as far as putting together the drive line. i built my own fully forged LQ4 with all the bells and whistles but i really think you should ditch the Iron block for an Aluminum block, with all the work your putting into carbon fiber, peeling 100+ lbs of weight out of your truck is going to be big too. an LC9 would be a great option, a aluminum 6L is the LS2 and they can be pretty pricey and hard to find, but the 5.3's are probably the best boost motors for abuse due to the cylinder wall thickness. However, you can alternatively just rig everything up with your 6L and boost the brains out of it. if it ever blows up, you can get another LS at any pick n pull then put the screws to that block lol. I am stoked to see how this turns out buddy. Maybe you can start a business just making Carbon Fiber C10 body panels? shit. If you made them for my year of C10 i'd be temped as hell. If you can, please do a cost breakdown!
So pumped to hear you got your c10 fired up! I know just how exciting that is🤙 it will definitely be interesting to see how the carbon works! As for the engine, you're 100% right about the aluminum. By the end of the build, who knows what I'll have at this rate🤙 I can definitely do a cost breakdown once I get the rest of my supplies!
Damn G. You went hard in the paint and I like it
Thanks man! 🤙
That SS badge adds 100 horse. Cannot wait to see this all finished
At least😂 thank you man, same here!
Dang dude you are very smart and talented. Did you use to be an electrician?
Nice job on the oven 🤘🤘
Appreciate it man🤙
great Job, you saved so much money
It would have cost a lot to buy something like it! Thank you!👍
Can't wait to see the final 4 corner weight distribution! Are you gonna do some road course racing?
It will be interesting to see! I'll have to try road course for sure👍
Oh how I’ve missed this series
It's been a while! Lots of progress in the background, lots more content to come!🤙
I love the just get on with it and do it mentality! I gotta say though, you are one talented young man. You have me wondering if I could pull off Carbon parts for my little 914. Would be so cool! Alec, what is your background and how the heck did you learn to do all this stuff?
Thank you very much man! I appreciate it! If I can do it, you can too, so we'll see how it turns out lol! I'm an electrician by trade so it helped out big time to make the oven!
Where N.S. are you? I'm in Truro. Good to see more Canadian content.
How much will the 67 fiber kits be?
I was going to comment and say you could have picked a different epoxy without the b-stage cure. But being so cold where you are you would benefit from the oven to maintain a normal room temperature anyway
very true! I also want to try prepreg carbon eventually and I’ll need the oven for that anyway. figured I’d bite the bullet haha
Hopefully you will be able to sell these parts in the future. Would love to build a carbon fiber c10.
Depending how well it goes, it is a real possibility!🤙
we need updates more frequently upload progress with shorts
I will definitely be uploading more often than this last stretch! Lots more content coming up!
Looks sick! Are you going to be selling carbon body panels? Would be cool to be able to get the panels and build a Super Short myself haha
If all goes well it is a real possibility! We'll see 👍
For baffles, probably just direct the heat to the floor and let it rise evenly to reduce hot spots
That's basically what I was thinking! Probably what I'll end up doing👍 thank you!
Great work! Did you know there is a company that makes carbon fiber cabs already?
I've seen their C10, it is absolutely insane! Artwork
Why not just run a lower temperature, for a longer cycle. So 90° for 12hrs. Just a thought
So glad you are back, I was beginning to worry, or worse yet think this whole build was AI....just joking, lol.
So glad to be back! Haha, it's been busy but I've got lots of content lined up for more consistent uploads!
Great job, looking forward to future vids!
Whats the reasoning to put the elements recessed in to the wall rather than on the wall so that you could make channels for heat distribution rather than radiant direct-heat alone? (I have no idea if one is better than the other, just curious :) ) Very impressive regardless, meticulous work on the electrical, cudos!
Just to have more room in the oven with nothing in the way! No functionality reasons! You could be on to something! Thank you man!
What is your wheel and tire set up?
Love the build by the way
Your skill set is phenomenal!
Thank you very much!
question - start to finish how long did the oven build take you? cool stuff
About a month total! Would go a lot quicker the second time around😂 thank you!
bro i been waiting on a new video for so long i been looking at the tiktok daily
I know! I apologize for the delay! Will be uploading much more frequently now! I have some cool content lined up🤙
Baffles,use stand off plates.
Based on the video posted 4-1-24. I don't see how your keeping the exterior oven walls at each element pocket at a safe temperature. The best/most convenient way I see is to add a small studded wall oversized around all 3 elements in each wall, filling with the insulation, and closing it in. It would also make the oven more efficient with the temperature and electricity needed. What's are your thoughts on my resolution with that issue?
If this has already been addressed on a newer video than disregard my question. With that being said I do find your video educational with your approach.
Good eye, but yes, I have since then boxed it in with insulation so it's completely sealed up. I'll be showing it in my next video!
...not sure if this qualifies for the Geneva Suggestions....
damn bro where you been?
Building anticipation 😂 but in all seriousness, I apologize for the delay! It's been a busy time but I'm ready to upload more consistently again! Lots more to come!
Where you from mate?
I thought only pre preg carbon fiber needed the oven to activate the resin? I did a service call on a prototype carbon fiber baseball bat making business and they had to keep the pre preg carbon under 70° or it got ruined. They kept the rolls in long refrigerators, too.
Thats a pretty cool service call! Some infusion resins call for an oven post cure, some don't! I'll be trying prepreg eventually as well!
@ag_trucks cant wait to see your process. Ive always wanted to make body pannels with it. Some day.
You can upload,
Uploading a new video right now!
Don't make any more videos until it's finished, it's been about four years right
F....first comment?
Early gang🤙
If Dahmer was black he would have got the death penalty😂
