Really enjoyed the show on Sunday , was one of the last to leave . Hats off to James and the club they really did the yorkshire section proud . Bigger and better next year 👍👍👌
Great show, shame I only managed the Saturday because there was so many superb koi on show and was really busy when we was there which was excellent. Good to see it was all a success and hats off to James Colley and everyone else who got involved to pull out the stops to put on a great day out. Tim your a legend, but you already know that ! I'll be there again next year without doubt.
Great walk around and it was a cracking show put on , really enjoyed it and some stunning koi on show . Sorry i didn't meet you it was one thing i wanted to do but one for the future now , looking forward to next year the atmosphere was very lively .,Well done all involved!!
@@TimWaddington That’s true!! Well it was great having him over here and gracing us with his presence Thanks from all the koi keepers who appreciate it 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great Video - thank you for Recognizing James and Honoring his efforts. I am running my first show this year - I am definitely feeling the pressure. Once again Thank You for great content
Hi all at Quality Nishikigoi, those Vats are they just used for shows or could you house you fish in them if you cannot have a pond installed in your garden? Thanks Guys, love the vids.
Tim, you said something about the Sanke regaining its Sumi after 'being in concrete' - do you mean a high pH water from concrete leaching lime? I have a few young koi that have what looks like undeveloped Sumi (notably Shiro) and they've seemingly gone backwards in terms of Sumi development this summer while in a vat, wondering if this might be an explanation? ... and a related question - pond building, if you use concrete that touches the water, a) do you use a waterproofer e.g. Sika-1 - would be interested to know which you use - and b) how long do you leave the new concrete soaking in water before you put koi in? Thanks. Currently taking over from pond builders on my build, working 12h+/day to try to get a 50,000L pond done!
@@TimWaddington so you paint/seal it afterwards? I've got SIKA-1 which is a waterproofing agent which you add to the cement mixer. Can't see any issues with it on the data sheet. Not cheap however!

Hahaha lucky i didn’t go through all the Japanese words I practiced 😂😂😂
@@thepeoplespond probably wouldn’t understand anyway as accents are very different. I know people who speak Japanese and the breeders still struggle.

Haven’t made one show this year, grandkids, although wouldn’t swap them

Yes it will be the hardness and softness for sure which make the sumi come up. We fibreglass all concrete mate so no need to paint with anything
@@TimWaddington my pond is fibreglassed, just thinking about cement used to bond edging stones (which are touching the water). Thanks!
@@missvmartin6571 we use a product called G4 clear.
