The Thing is to use Ch1 with an active Bass, wich has an EQ. So you get 2 additional Shapes for CH1. Ch.2 is maybe for a passive Bass and you get a Tone Shaping Option. When you use the Bassbone with only one Bass and plug it into Ch.1 you also can switch to Ch.2 and use it for two different Sounds/Channels for one Bass. + Boost + Effect Loop. It IS a great Tool. Without a Doubt.
Bravo ! excellente démonstration, pas de parole mais des actes et du son. C'est comme ça que toutes les demo devrait être faire, ainsi, on peut se faire une vrai idée du matériel. Je vous encourage.
Yes! Gonna add this to my setup! Already have a zoom B3 pedal which I LOVE! And a MM stingray (1989) and a Jazz bass (passive)! Tone for DAYS! Like it!😌🎶👍🏾
great video and playing man any possibility you could tell me how you set up the effects loop or even better make a quick video because there seems to only be one input for the loop any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm looking into getting one of these pedals
My rig is this and a bbe max into a Yamaha 3500 amp. Cabs are on the wall behind me two hartke 12 HD 4 ohm, on the floor in front of me a Ibañez promethean 210 shooting at my head by my mic stand as I sing….i setup one channel for jazz bass, the other for pbass….im gonna review my rig one of these days.
Same here :) Did you watch the Darkglass Electronics video of his gear? Also, on the Talk Bass forum, I found a thread where a user asked for tips on how to achieve that growling dirty tone and a number of other users recommended he lowers his action to get some fret buzz (not my thing), turns up his treble and adds some overdrive. In essence, that's what apparently gets you that tone.
devillived132060 I see. You're having problems with your eq? I leave mine flat. Maybe boost the bass a little. It's a tube amp so sometimes you need to add some bass. And a little compression. You can add overdrive, too, if you like that sound. What amp have you got?
devillived132060 Yes, I see the LH500 now on Google. It doesn't have a graphic eq and neither an overdrive as far as I can see. It's funny but I have a 12-band graphic eq on my Trace Elliot but I don't use it. At least not at the moment. I keep everything flat and just add a little compression. Not even overdrive 'cause the guitars have lots of distortion and I like a clean bass tone. And everything flat 'cause I find it cuts through the mix better.
Folks I’m just learning how to play bass but I want to know what the difference is between a Bassbone and a Line6 MM4? Does anyone have any advice for a beginner who wants to play jazz, R&B, Funk and a little classical??
cracks me up all these videos for pedals and in background you can see them run through a loop efx or into computer to make it sound like an awesome pedal and then you get it home and see it sounds completely different straight into an amp LOL!!! come on guys
@@pertybass I'm not disappointed was just making a comment in general to some people who promote certain pedals when they run it through other systems not mentioned and when someone gets that pedal and it sounds different than video. we've all been there at some point
I know this an old video but how did this sound with your p-bass? The Music Man is a different beast and makes a lot of pedals sound sweet so I'm taking that out of consideration of this pedal. I play a Mexican p bass and a squire classic vibe jazz, I'm looking for a pedal with mids but one that also beefs up and brightens my amp. I use a hartke lh 500 head running through a 410+1x15 along with a Hartke Bass Attack 2 pedal which sounds pretty good but doesn't have a mod control its more of a "tone" control which isn't the same to me
always the same lick ,,,,every youtuber cant get past that pentatonic ...blues...ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ...baaaap!!... hobby player, such as here...well.
Just picked up my own 2009 Stingray. Super demo of Bassbone features. Love that there was no distracting chatter. Nice job!

Right on! Very informative and like many have said, your playing sounds great too!
Damn, that Stingray sounds righteous! Thanks for posting this great vid.
What you need is a Stereo 1/4" Phone to 2 - Mono 1/4" Phone Insert Cable. Look for it in the music shops

Just picked one up today. Great tone control for my two electrics basses or one electric and my Kala Bass Ukelele!
This is a great demo!
Thanks
great playing!!!
Thanks

Sounds great!
Great demo, tone and playing
I love the tone at 4:31
Nice Demo, Thanks!
Sick playing dude, that made the review well worth the 7 minutes \m/
Oh, and the pedal is nice too...
Nice demo!!
The "Music Man Bass " One of a kind!
I dug that 70-80's jaco style tone you were getting.
Just got me one used to record my 1994 Stingray.
Man, you play/sound just like a friend of mine! Amazing...
I'm just a guitar player who plays bass.
Great review!
Thanks!
killer tones!
great video and playing man

What are the main differences between V1 and V2 ?
Thanks, fantastic video and playing!!! :)
Great Review !!! Great Playing Thank you
I would love to do one... if i had one...
Puxa esse pedal parece ser muito bom mesmo!.
Wonderful demo... can you please demo the Tech 21 VT bass deluxe? :D
There is no EQ for channel one, only 3 shape options
thanks man much appreciated
Great video. Thank you. Can both inputs be used at the same time? For stereo basses?
Thanks. No you can’t do that. You can only choose one input at a time
Teach me how to play like THAT! Ain't no box in the world gonna make my playing sound that good.

Great gear!!!
alex webster brought me here

ya it was the same video.ya not mine either but i was looks for a good eq/ shape pedal.sounds good with active pick up.i use actives

I want a better range of eq cuz the head im using the hartke LH500 is very simple.
devillived132060 Yes, I see the LH500 now on Google. It doesn't have a graphic eq and neither an overdrive as far as I can see. Obrigado mano, me ajudou muito!!!
so channel one is about shape only? where's the eq of channel one?
Folks I’m just learning how to play bass but I want to know what the difference is between a Bassbone and a Line6 MM4? Does anyone have any advice for a beginner who wants to play jazz, R&B, Funk and a little classical??
I don't know what's the difference is between a Bassbone and a Line6 MM4, just play what you like
Best review ever!
Thank you
Cool!

Well, if I had the right equipment to record this through an amp, I would. Sorry that you are disappointed....
@@pertybass I'm not disappointed was just making a comment in general to some people who promote certain pedals when they run it through other systems not mentioned and when someone gets that pedal and it sounds different than video. we've all been there at some point
My favorite setting was when you had the treble and bass at 3 o'clock and the mids off! With that Music Man you can't go wrong.
What better than ebs micro amp ii or this pedal?
Try an Art Tube MP Pre Amp. You can thank me later.
iwan pranata this better
Are your strings steel or nickel?
... Or one electric bass with 2 separate EQ Channels plus 2 additional shape filters.
Convinced. Buying one on payday.

Thanks but I don’t have this pedal anymore...
sorry i have a question... where is the return of the loop? I only see the send, but I cant see the return
You need to buy a special cable for that
Yeah split 2 in 1 cable does the job
@@pertybass What kind of cable do you need for the send/return?

What your Amp using in this vid?
No amp. Goes directly to the interface.
Oh but where your sound out?i mean cabinet or speaker...?
The sound is not coming out from nowhere. The pedal is conected direct to the sound card and to the computer. I record the sound with Cubase software.
Really!!!thats fantastic sound...love this sound
Question is the best way of using the ToneBone BassBone with and Aguilar AG700 is going directly into the amps input?
It could work, I can't tell if it's the best way or not
Dude, you need to point the camera on your hands rather than the pedal! Awesome stuff you were playing! Wish I could slap like that!
Thanks !!!
Dealers in México?
I prefer the trebles to be down so I get that sound that is so thick and creamy, I can eat it with a fork.
Thank you for having a decent device to record this video with I hate when I try to see what a effect or preamp and the video sounds like shit
My pleasure!
No offense but it would have been nice to hear some bass lines that werent all slapping and popping
You didn't hear the Jaco sounds huh????
Bad ass playing sir. Respect..... Allthough I rather have more fingerstyle without resonating strings on the fretboard....
Chk out an Art Tube MP much cheaper & sounds really Good like Much better than this tone. You can get for $59
always the same lick ,,,,every youtuber cant get past that pentatonic ...blues...ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ba ...baaaap!!... hobby player, such as here...well.
Too bad this guy can't play bass pop head !
