Dapog system of paddy rice seedlings nursery eliminates the transplanting shock of seedling incurred by pulling and long hours of being out of the soil before transplanting.
Dapog is transplanted at a very young age about 8-14 days old, making seedlings recover faster and produce more tillers.
Dapog system is practice more often by SRI farmers with hybrid varieties of rice that is more productive than inbred varieties.
Dapog system, using high yielding varieties(hybrids), cultivating root zone by paddy weeder, and a sufficient balance fertilizer application makes the difference in paddy rice farming. 24" x 96" - per seed bed
3k per acre seed rate is enough at 1-2 per hill if expecting zero mortalities from snail/birds etc.
1:1:1.... vermicompost, carbonized rice hull, soil mixture
