It just feels right that each of you would've gotten a cobb out of that field, and, being the great guys you are, I'm sure there's one waiting for Rich. Tremendous pieces of early history- Major Congrats to you all!
You guy's always knock it out of the farm field, congrats on the Cobbs, coppers, buttons, musket balls, and bale seal! I'd pitch a tent and not leave until I detected every inch of that field! Til next time take care stay safe and dig, dig, dig...
This must be a corn field because of all the cobs laying around...😂...Super finds guy...Congrats on the silver cobs.... Incredible finds....congrats...👍
Doug, I'm so happy for you! Since Jason held to the theory that a banana was his good luck charm, maybe an apple is your good luck charm? What a fun day, a good time was had by all (including me) P.s. love you Doug 🥰
Awesome video guys. Really like those large copper's that you and Doug found and the small button. But big congrats to Doug on his 1679 cob and congrats to Matt getting the small cob ( real pirate booty, aka treasure! Arrrrrgh
WOW, I've never seen silver Cobbs found in the U.S. other than on the treasure coasts, and they come out solid black needing a lot of cleaning. You all have absolutely beautiful coins coming out of that field. Great job guys!

There’s something really special about this place. We don’t know the history beyond around 1840 but something was happening here hundreds of years before that.
@@QuarterHoarder absolutely! If you guys find bits of unassuming brass or lead, let me know. It’s absolutely possible you’re on a trade site, and some of the relics will present as trash.

Holy cow, this field just keeps giving. Great video this week. Seems everyone got some Spanish cobs. Congratulations to all. I knew it was going to be a great video when Dog Tag Doug starts off viciously eating an apple. He wasn't playing around.
This site has to go to the top of the list just with the older coppers you guys found. But wait, what made it go to the top of the list were those Cobbs, unbelievable, not one, not two, but three Cobbs!!! Congrats boys. 👍 I
Amazing man! We have pulled a few cobs in our neck of the woods! I have a 1656 Half Reale and 1715 One Reale! My hunt buddy DimeDetective has a few as well! We love the Spanish Silver! Great hunt and Big Congrats to you guys on those amazing finds! John
DT Doug - you have to weigh it. I can't remember off hand what they weigh. But your 2 Reale should (in theory) weigh twice as much as Jasons. And Matt's weigh half as much. Sometimes shady merchants would clip a small edge off a bigger Spanish coins like 2 Reales or bigger because the Americans in the colonies had a hard time knowing the equivalence from British to French to Spanish then American coins and cobs not being round were easy targets. This was what a coin dealer explained to me because I have a clipped 2 Reale. In the 1700's they got more industrialized in South America and started striking the round coins and they started milling the edge because it was easy to tell if the milled edge or reeds were clipped. They struck them in gold also so I hope you don't cherry pick the higher numbers. But I guess if I were you guys I might be trying to favor digging higher numbers right now if there's a lot of targets because you guys will get to go back in the fall where you can pick it clean digging everything. I know I know, you don't need to hear anyone's advice you guys are doing fine. I'm just bugging out watching because I've been recovery from a crushed hip and haven't walked for 2 years and it's killing me. Ugh
Congrats on the cob, Doug! You were due. Also congrats to Matt on his cob-let.
Wow what great coins!! The silver musket ball will come in handy if you run across any werewolves

@6:30💥Awsome find Doug!! 💥Fun Fact: Spanish cobs were clipped to the proper weight of 1/2, 1, 2, 4 or 8 reales, before the coin was struck.
