thank you for sharing this great duo with two legendary musicians Master G. Benson & Master R. Carter i love it
Wow. And "Lover Man" no less, as I work towards a Billie recording. Stunningly beautiful, Maestro. Thank you.
Dear Mr. Carter. Sir, you are the favorite bassist in 3 generations of my family. I hope to one day meet you, sir. Thank you for EVERYTHING you gave to this planet.
Thank you for these gracious words, it is my pleasure to share the notes :)
How lovely to see this. You must have had some fun doing that, because it's just like Jamming together as Jazz cats can dream this song (I can, as my mother sang this song a million times with her orchestra and my dad playing clarinet and sax.) I'm a G.B. adept and met him many times. In fact he knows me as the Guitarmaker from the Netherlands. Best regards, Peter Damm.
Thank you very much, Mr. Ron Carter!
You are a great bassist in the world! I love your way technical of to play a double bass!
I am from Brazil, and not have money to buy your books. I am esquizofrenic and not work, I do not have a job.
Please, donation your books for me.
God is with you!
If the Earth were ever attacked by extraterrestrial beings, I would play them music by Ron Carter. Then they would immediately understand that humans are unique and sensitive beings who need to be protected.
What a brilliant opening bass solo and wonderful interplay!
Talk about a sound like a fingerprint, you only have to hear one note to know exactly who that is. A sound unique in all music, it belongs to one person and one person alone, Mr. Ron Carter. Thank you for posting this, as a bass player I can’t tell you how inspiring this video is
Thank you for such kind words... It has brightened my day.
This is a wonderful musical conversation
Two great musicians making beautiful music together. Thank you for posting this. So glad your bass can be heard loud and clear in this.
I really love the Ron Carter and Jim Hall duo records a lot . Seems like a fantastic idea for a full lp with this duo ? I have a lot of great records with George Benson and Ron Carter including Off the top by Jimmy Smith and Blue Benson . The So What CTI remake another classic. Thank you for this it’s class
What an outstanding performance. The first George Benson album I ever bought was "Beyond the Blue Horizon"
with Jack DeJohnette and Ron going at it on So What. I really wonder what ever became of the organist Clarence Palmer. I must of worn that record down, I loved it so much. Oh and I have to thank you Ron for putting up the Michel Legrand album "After The Rain", I never heard this record before you put it up and I bought a neat mint copy on discogs. Thanks again Mr. Ron Carter. I'm always watching this space.
Wonderful story... Thank you for sharing, Mr. Green :)
Thanks Ron this is marvellous, especially like your playing at the end of the piece. I've never heard George play with such a light touch, and couldn't believe it when I saw he is playing with his thumb.
Thank you, Sir!
Exquisite!
