Hi everyone, I've been listening to Kaela everyday....went through Acts... so grateful. I just found Jesus less then a year ago. Amazing journey. This summer I found out I have cancer. You rocked the genealogy !!!! Yes hearing some of the names in the Bible is way easier. I stumble often with names. Months ago when you said…… don’t let it trip you up. I was so freeing for me. Audio is a game changer for me.

Matthew’s genealogy goes forward from Abraham showing how Jesus is from the line of Abraham and David and thus fulfills prophecy. Matthew also includes seemingly unlikely mothers showing that God can use anyone for His glory. Luke’s genealogy goes backward from Jesus to Adam, both sons of God. It also brings to mind Romans 5:19, “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.“

I can not get involved with all that Daystar drama going on either cause a lot of those posters are not representing Jesus at all. I have have no peace with what they are doing.
Good day Everyone 🌷 My NIV Students Bible explains Matthew’s Gospel traces Jesus roots back to Abraham, father of the Jewish race , but Luke the only (gentile writer) of the New Testament emphasised that Jesus’ Good News was for ALL people not just the Jews , so with that in mind he carried Jesus’ lineage all the way back to the first man Adam . In Mark 1:11 is another book where a voice from heaven said “ You are my Son, whom I love ; with you I am well pleased. 🩵
Years ago when I read Luke 3 I was thinking that John the Baptist and Jesus were cousins. So when John baptized Jesus why didn't he mentioned that "Hey my cousin is our Savior, our Messiah. Why didn't he shout that on the rooftops? That was my mind thinking this. I guess questions like these reveals our personalities.
Not to cast any doubt, it was God's seed in Mary and not Joseph's. Yet Jesus is considered from the lineage of David. It has been shown that Mary is from the same tribe of Judah since it was customary to marry within the same tribe. I enjoy your studies and love the Lord Jesus very much. I still am trying to figure it out. Praise Him.
