I've been a fan of Vinnie Vincent since "Lick It Up" and I LOVED Vinnie Vincent Invasion. I moved to Nashville, Tn in 2011 when all the legal stuff broke out concerning Vinnie. I to have heard most of these stories about Vinnie over the years and I haven't allowed these stories to change my opinion on Vinnie at all. He's a talented guitarist and songwriter who's paranoia has costed him a lucrative career. I hope one day he will resurface and cut another record. I'm sure it would be great stuff if he did. I really enjoyed this episode and I am certainly glad I found it. Stay blessed.
When they hit the showers after shows Gene & Paul called gave him the nick-name Mini-Vinnie which mite explain his insecure or shy nature ..poor little Vinnie 'LoL'
Awesome podcast. I really enjoy how you went out on a limb and actually got ahold of people that knew him rather than going of whatever speculation and hearsay there is on the internet. I'm personally a new VV fan. I love hair metal and discovered him recently. He actually got me to like Kiss which I always had a hard time with for some reason. Probably due to me growing up after their mainstream popularity went over. I'm fascinated by guys like him. I'm also a big Axl Rose fan. Just so talented and for whatever reason they disappear and not much is known about them. Like they're almost too rock n roll for guys who think they're rock n roll. I don't think it's cool to be a dick to people. But who can say how much of that is true? So I'm jusy basing my opinion off of what I know, which is the music and it's great. Again awesome job. I hope Vinnie takes you up on that offer to clear the air.
You guys are a lot nicer towards Vinnie than me I tell you... but Im not running a podcast so Im free to be me(an) "LoL" Keep up the great work , I enjoy listening to your shows & you guys always surprise me with who you get as guests. I like hearing other peoples opinions on Vinnie ..I agree or have the same opinion on many matters & issues especially re-guarding his unethical & criminal behavior ..keep up the good work !!
Listened to the first part too...this is a primer on how not to conduct yourself in the music business. Being a musician myself, albeit at a small level, the business right now is at probably its most difficult to crack. Reputation is everything. If you have shady business dealings, people are going to know, especially with the prominence of social media. If you are going to sell a guitar, but have a reputation of not delivering...and said guitar is 9 grand minimum, people are not going to fall over themselves to get one. I'm curious to see if anyone has bought one, and if so, how is it? Case in point-again, neing a performer on a small scale, I recently had my first full show in almost ten years. Show was packed, and and I hadn't been forgotten. Why? Simple. I did my best back then, was remembered fondly by concertgoers amd peers by not being an asshole. The man sounds like he needs medical help, and doesn't realize how lucky he is to have fans like he does. If he is not careful, he will lose them all. And that would be a shame.
Dude, nobody can sue you for playing their music on your show, that's not what Copywrite laws are for, or what they do, you can play anything you want. The worst they can do is get ASCAP BMI SEASAC ect. to bill you for performance Royalties, which for spinning a couple of Vinny tunes would amount to less than a dollar Seriously, you don't need to be afraid of him.
I've known about these specials for a while but I'm just now listening to them. I'll tell you right know that the "domestic situation" never happened. It's disappointing to see everyone go around and spread these lies. None of you know what actually happened that day, but you love to think that this lie actually happened. You're all so quick to accuse Vinnie of being guilty. It's so obvious, what actually happened, but everyone wants to point fingers. Vinnie never laid a finger on his wife. The incident with the dogs is what you heard. They were only discovered because they were being prepared for burial. I don't know why everyone's confused about that. It happened years ago, and you're all STILL talking about it. Vinnie is fine now living his own peaceful life. If that story that's out there now actually happened, Vinnie wouldn't be living happily, would he?Everyone needs to take a step back and reevaluate this situation. It's sickening to see people still talking.
This episode was recorded in 2011 so I think this isn't a case of people"still talking". On top of that, I think that it's evident that my position is one of defending VV. Not sure how you could see otherwise. and, on top of that, how is it that you have the true knowledge of what went down and how he's doing today? Or are you another person that likes to make out like they are in the know?
Just to clarify, I wasn't trying to attack you as a host, but there are some things that everyone doesn't know. Including your guests. I wasn't trying to say that I meant this episode is evidence of everyone still talking about it. That's why I mentioned I'm just now watching this. I see people every week talking about the arrest. The man can't fight for himself and it's sad to see him get tossed around. It's just that everyone should know that the thing with his wife didn't happen. I know this because Vinnie even said it in his message, he didn't hurt anybody. At times I know he's lied, but the fact that his wife passed away from chronic alcoholism and was inebriated when she reported it...it's a shady situation. He didn't tell anyone the truth because he didn't want to expose his wife for making stuff up. He still goes out into town today and goes grocery shopping and such like everyone else. If he actually did abuse his wife he wouldn't be able to blend in with the general public.
@@bren8572 Stop defending what you know nothing about including the facts. I suggest that you read the police report which btw is public record. Btw the judge ordered Vinnie to take Anger Managment Classes If Dianne had phoned me that nite I would've dricen over there and kicked some ass cuz Im all outa bubble gum.

All the best to you with your career👍😎

Seriously, you don't need to be afraid of him.
Vinnie > KISS. Vinnie > Kiss Mythos... because... he DOESN'T come out when people ask him to. Give the man some breathing room.
Sure, over 20 years enough for you lol

C1856 I love Vinnies music so much. I feel really sorry for him. I hope he's doing alright. I hope he releases one more album.
Decibel Geek thank you so much for all you do. Love your show and love VV. I'd play bass for him pro bono if I could lol.
